Apple- iplay the next level of portable gaming?

Do you think apple should make there own Portable gaming system? Im not talking liek the iphones game apps, i mean something like the DS or PSP where its main goal is "games"

As arrogant and hard headed as apple is i wouldnt mind seeing what they could do.

Sure, Aplle could make a handheld. But you'd be paying over $1000 for a less powerful system the either of the 2 already released. But whatever, it's your money...

LOL, no. Apple has always been absolutely horrible at gaming. It's not that their machines couldn't run games. It was that their machines got very few games. Anyone remember the 80's when if you were stuck with an Apple II (e, c, gs), then you missed out on all the cool games that the IBM PC's and Commodor 64's got? I do. Apple is not friendly to gaming. It never has been.

Oh God no. I'm not paying $1000+ for a handheld from a new company in gaming(Mac may be able to game, but not enough games)

Their other stuff is already ridiculousy overpriced. Theres no way I'd buy a gaming device from them.

The iPod Touch isn't a gaming device. It's a portable computer.
