Mac > PCwouldn't hermits know best? :?
That's pretty much a fact.

Negative, Ghost Rider. If you're a mac owner, you need not worry about adware/spyware/malware or viruses. Anyone who tells you otherwise is... well.. uneducated, and probably an angry nerd (that's how I classify Apple haters, because how you could hate Apple is a mystery to me. What have they done besides innovate?)musicalmacThey overprice based on image alone. And you don't need to worry as much about adware/spyware/malware/viruses, but they still exist. Personally, I have a five year old desktop that has NEVER caught a virus or had a spyware/adware/malware problem.

what about the huge library of games on mac?????oh wait! there arent any........dmb34Wrong. Macs run more programs than PC's do. Macs can also run DX10 level shaders while any XP owner cannot. This is not an argument you want to try with me. If you don't believe me, look it up yourself.

You're paying up to an extra grand for LESS performance and LESS software compatibility, just so that you don't have to download four programers smaller than 50GB in size. Macs are not 100% proofed alone. Buy a Windows machine, even a corporate-built one like a Dell or Alienware, and you're already paying half the price of a Mac for even better performance and better software choices. Then all you do is download AdAware, Spybot, Spyware Blaster, and AVG Free, and you're MORE than 100% protected against anything the Internet can throw at you. I especially like Spyware Blaster. It immunizes your PC against all spyware, AND it doesn't run in the background. Only AVG runs in the background, and even if you ARE on a Mac, you should be running an antivirus anyway, especially since it's now an Intel machine.
something else worth mentioning is that Macs don't require regular reformatting to stay running optimally, which isn't the case for windowspiano_pimpWe can argue till we're blue in the face, but angry nerds will stay that way- angry. Most haters don't even know what they hate! The operating system, the hardware, Apple in general... There is no reason to hate Apple.

I have NEVER EVER heard of a Mac getting a virus, spyware, adware, malware, etc. Macs are pretty much invulnerable.viper7721
