I'm afraid Sony's in no positition for a price drop. They lose hundreds on each unit as it is, a price drop would kill them.
I wonder what happened to all the cows who were hyping March as PS3's big coming out month. I thought Motorstorm was going to put it...above the GBA. :lol: I don't see the PS3 overtaking the GBA in sales until...*looks at PS3 release dates*...after GTAIV comes out.
Assuming you don't beieve the stuff Sony spouted about stock levels ask yourself what games are being released this month to spur on PS3 sales?
Also I think that the GBA could see some knock on sales from the DS Pokemon hype.

if you belive that then you have NOT been to any best buy or game related store and seen the ps3's-I for one have seen a ps3 in every store I have been in since even before christmas!! also my gamecrazy had the same 2 ps2's and only sold 1 of them over a month period

The sad thing is, GBA probably will once again kick PS3's tail cause of Pikachu and his pals.
Come 22nd, when the Poke-Mageddon bomb drops, there is no way in hell Nintendo can keep up with all the DSL sales. Those people who couldn't find a DSL probably will buy a GBA instead to tie them over when the poke-mageddon madness dies down a bit. Thus, once again, for the third time in a row, GBA beats out the PS3 again. Sorry all you cows, Reality bites........

I'm somewhat inclined to go with that. However, since the DS supply is also somewhat constrained as well... people might just end up getting a GBA + a pokemon game if they can't get a DS. Though I really don't give the GBA that much credit, I don't really think it can fluke out a 3rd win in sales over the PS3.

Well.....If the GBA does pull it off third time in a row, then we can safly say it isn't a fluke......PS3 is in some serious do-do if that's the case........
theres a difference PS2 has a huge library of popular console games, god of war 2 was just recently released. the wii will probably beat the PS2 this month because of bigger shipments and superpapermario. the ds+pokemon combo will be untouched next month, but gba can still steal some of that thunder as people who cant get a ds can get a gba for pokemon fire red and grean. that way u can trade high level original favorites(charizard etc. ) to the DS version.
