Yes.
Many people here consider PD0 unworthy of AAA status, while others consider games like Deus Ex or Twilight Princess AAA status. Even with the objective nature of the numbers GameSpot attaches to games, people still debate.

I don't wanna get the lemmings going, but I thought Gears was a pretty bone headed game. Granted, all shooters are repetitive, but GeOW took it to a whole new level for me.

What I meant was, when you attach a number to a game (though it was reached by subjective means) it's an objective marker of that game's quality. It's much easier to interpret than say, a numberless review with comments.
