Yes.

Many people here consider PD0 unworthy of AAA status, while others consider games like Deus Ex or Twilight Princess AAA status. Even with the objective nature of the numbers GameSpot attaches to games, people still debate.

Yes, Warioware and PD0 to name two right off the top of my head. Also Merceneares comes to mind pretty quickly. I didn't like that game at all.

I'd say so, at least outside of when people are referring to the Gamespot ratings. An example of this is how I think games like Mario Sunshine and Lost Planet are AAA, whereas games like Gears of War and Final Fantasy XII are not.

It is subjective, but love or hate them you can'tdeny that some games are definitely deserving of AAA status like RE4 was when it first hit the scene.

ALL reviews are subjective. I can guarantee you there are people out there that think games like Ocarina of Time are downright horrible, and 50 Cent: Bulletproof is the best ever.

Well yes it all depends on your tastes. To me Okami outscores Gears on almost every level but Gears scored higher here. Everything is debatable in the world of real gaming but here in SW numbers are numbers and once GS sets them in stone nothing can be done.

Objective nature? Reviews by nature are subjective.

I don't wanna get the lemmings going, but I thought Gears was a pretty bone headed game. Granted, all shooters are repetitive, but GeOW took it to a whole new level for me.

Objective nature? Reviews by nature are subjective.

What I meant was, when you attach a number to a game (though it was reached by subjective means) it's an objective marker of that game's quality. It's much easier to interpret than say, a numberless review with comments.

"AAA", "F", "good", "great", "bad", "better", "worse", "mediocre" etc all deal with subjectivity.

Most things dealing with quality are subjective, save for things dealing with factual data.
