are console owners jealous of steam deals?

what if psn, wii and xbl had deals like what steam has. games like shadow complex for 75% to 85% off. that would be good. i have to say, when i see the steam deals like summer or holiday... i get very jealous. who else?

I partake in them often. I can find games for cheap on consoles, but sometimes, paying something like $5 for a game is kinda crazy.

Dude everybody has got a PC good enough for TF2 or KOTOR at home. I think the steam sales has something for everyone, good on Valve.

Not even close, the price reduction on some of these games are ridiculous. Not to mention the frequency of steam sales.

Yes. I really want a good gaming pc but I have nooooo money.

Not to mention a lot of those deals are for old games from like 98 to 08. I like to play new gamesCB4McGusto

Naturally older games will be discounted, but plenty of new ones were as well (The Witcher 2, Portal 2, Just Cause 2 etc).

The amount of games and the frequency of sales make them uncomparable.

The prices really are great, and I'm glad I own a gaming PC, but with consoles I can rent/try a new game for $5 rather than having to buy the whole thing up front. PC gaming is great for people with patience -- people willing to wait a year or so to get games nice and cheap -- but consoles let me cheaply try out games when they actually launch. So, pros and cons I suppose.

Glad I own both.
