A few games are becoming unique but not necessarily better.

most of them haven't changed from the same formula as last gen and the gen before that. they just get better technically. a few do do new things though. Stalker is really decent, spore will break new ground, mass effect looks to have some really cool ideas, and the wii games look to start something new like ddr and guitar hero did.

At this point I still play my last gen games more than my current gen ones. With any luck things will improve before the generation is over.

To answer your question, "Yes." That is why Nintendo invented the Wiimote. Now whether or not gaming sways that way this generation, it will be ALL OVER once Nintendo releases their next console. Lets face it, we all know Nintendo has figured it out.

Most games are not even worth my time anymore...I attribute it to age (I am 27) but I am just sick of most games theses days...for instance a game like Prey was a good game by in large but after my time with the demo I was done with the game...shooters are pretty played out, jrpg's are as well...and just because a game uses the Wiimote does not mean it is innovative...no game really holds my attention for that long anymore

I agree with you. They are getting repetitive. My dad walks in and can't even tell what's the difference between the games I play this gen and last gen.

The Shooters, GTA type games, JRPGS, are the most repititive games. Same thing over and over again but with different characters and different settings.
