Are Mario Kart Wii's graphics bad?

They are better than Double Dash, but not by much.

I think it looks pretty decent but it sucks that Nintendo didn't push the Wii at all with it.

Nope. They are really good. The games good too, but I would use Nun-chuck controls over the wheel, which is a shame.

I haven't a clue why the review score isn't up yet.

They look a little better than DD but that's not saying much considering that DD didn't push the Gamecube in the first place.MrDziekuje

What makes the graphics looks bad for me is the overall boxiness/fuzziness/muddiness. This game could have done with a hell of alot more polygons, which would have made it shaper, clearer and detailed a la Mario Galaxy.

As is, it looks like ass IMO.

Mario Kart never pushed graphics to the limit and MKWii is no exception... and the style is meh for a Nintendo game.

Most Gamecube games looked way better than that. Hell, most PS2 games looked better.

To be fair, the new Mario Kart does look a little better than Double Dash, but they're both awful looking IMO. It's as if no care was put into the visuals at all.

If you're playing the new tracks, you'll notice alot of small improvements over double dash.

But it's not as big as the leap say... from melee to brawl in terms of detail though.

When I was looking for screenshots, they all looked pretty much like that. I was simply trying to find ones that shows that the new game looks better. I wasn't about to go through all of them.

The game could be so much better looking if they would add more polygons and make the character models more shapely.

Gamecube games on average are much better looking than Mario Kart. Double Dash is one of the uglier Gamecube games out there.
