Is it really a huge deal if any multiplatform game is better on one console than the other? Does it make the inferior version bad? Take GTA IV for example. Or Bioshock, Fallout 3, Street Fighter IV, Eternal Sonata, Assassin's Creed, etc. I really don't get what makes some of these games actually better on the 360 comparing to the PS3. Besides maybe a little graphics difference or framerate but is it really noticeable? And if it is, is it a big deal? How come the only game I heard that is "better" on the PS3 is Burnout Paradise but most other games are "better" on the 360?nelfer320
What I would use that info for is if I had both a 360 and a PS3 I would buy the game for whichever platform was better. If you have both why buy the one that has a lower framerate or other problems ?

But u missed my point. Is it a big deal and is it that easily noticeable?The difference is only a big deal to lemmings.
For most multiplats games the development is more around the 360 version because it will sell more.
Most companies just dont want to spend the time and money to make both 360 and Ps3 version equal as it isn't really worth it.
Sometimes it is no big deal, sometimes it is pretty significant. Before I bought F.E.A.R. 2 I downloaded the demo on both. The 360 version looked good and the PS3 version looked bad, jaggies and framerate issues. The Resident Evil 5 demo looked about the same on both consoles. So it just depends on the game I think.
I love both my ps3 and my 360, but I have to say, after recently getting the RROD and having to play the ps3 full time, the games I play on the 360 look way better on the 360. I have a blockbuster game pass, 2 at a time, so I rented COD WaW, and COD 4 on the ps3, and they do not look anywere near as good as the 360 versions. I have component cables on my 360, it is the first generation so no hdmi port, and my ps3 is with hdmi.
I don't have anything to compare to, but Uncharted, Socom, Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 all look amazing on the ps3 with hdmi, but anything that is mulit-plat just pales on the ps3 for some reason.
Not sure why when the ps3 has more power than the 360, but if it is on 360 and ps3, most likely, I think it will look and play better on the 360.
Last thought, multiplayer COD on the ps3 will drop you from a game 100 times more often than the 360 for "no capable host found".
No...its not a big deal. The diferences are very small and most times you only figure them with a side by side comparations. Still, its a very big deal the fact that one system costs twice the other and cant be able to performance far better or at least equal.
[QUOTE="mck92"]
the difference doesnt matter what so ever, its not like you going to be playing them side by side, in the majority of cases you wont notice at all. Especially when you have nothing to compare it to.
PAL360
haha....ignorance = happiness
just kidding :P
i dont :( i dont have a 360, i only know what im told.
comparisons of multiplats between 360 and ps3 are very minimal and silly to argue over
the real comparisons take place with the consoles agaisnt pc with multiplats, where the differences are actually worth debating over

your paying more money for a PS3 to play equal or slightly inferior 360 versions.
How does that makes sense to you?

because u pay for the vastly superior first party exclusives, a console that wont RROD, bluray, wifi, free online.. umm.. shall i continue?Is it really a huge deal if any multiplatform game is better on one console than the other? For the most part the majority of the titles looked and ran smoother on the XBox 360. The reason why was because, most of these games were created on the XBox 360/PC platform from the ground up and then ported poorly to the PS3. No many developers are making the initial game on the PS3 and then porting it to the XBox 360 because it's a lot easier and the XBox 360 doesn't have any degradation in their version like the PS3 did. Most of the new multiplatform games being released now are being much identical, with very minor differences. CoD4 on the PS3 is pretty much the same on the XBox 360. Games like Skate 2 and Madden 09 look similar on both systems.
