Does Halo 3 have the most perfect, memorable maps of any FPS in history?

I like most of it's maps but no. A better question would of been if they were the best maps in Halo History. At least that would of been debatable.
That face next to chris rock, i've seen it before... ugh! where have i seen it before!!??!?no.

I think Halo 1 and 2 had the best MP maps out of the Halo games. 3's were really good too though.
But there have definitely been better, anymore though, maps are all pretty forgetable.
I'm not gonna uphold the pretensions 'best evarrr!11', but one of my absolute personal favourites must be Facility/Felicity from Goldeney/Perfect Dark. Yes, the one with the toilets. I don't think I've played more on any FPS multiplayer map than on that one back in the day.
i would have to disagree on that. halo 1 and 2 had better maps than halo 3. my all time favorite would be blood gultch/ coagulation (halo 1,2) but as the best in history thats just matter of opinion.
[QUOTE="ispeakfact"]No. Those belong to Killzone 2.Jebus213:lol: Killzone 2 is a forgettable game outside of SW.
No, that would be Halo 2.
I've never seen such a perfect set of maps for a game ever. There wasn't a single map for Halo 2 that was bad and there were mutliple that were just legendary. Even with the post-launch DLC map packs they were able to keep the insanely high quality of their maps. It was fantastic.
no even close. CS has better maps

CS maps were slowly made over many years. Dust, Dust 2, Office... all of the best maps were slowly made by the community over the years not launched at release.
It's kind of unfair to compare maps that are built and tested over years by the community to maps that ship with an FPS at launch.

Of course its fair, some of the CS maps have near perfect balance due to being built over the years. But the post is about the best maps not about how those maps were made.
Halo 3 did not have Blood Gulch from Halo 1, so no.
Best maps in a FPS this gen have been in Killzone, of all time I would maybe say Counter Strike, that game has like everything. It's modding is better than Forge mode in Halo by a LONG shot.
Halo 2 had some good maps but the best ever? I would have to disagree, and you say its not fair to compare CS maps to halos but I am pretty sure half of halo2s maps were remade halo1 maps :P. I think its hard to label one map that is the ultimate. However there are maps that belong in the "elite" catogory and halo series would have maybe 1 or 2 in there. No, that would be Halo 2.

In terms of maps designed specifically for a console fps/tps, I think Halo 2 has the best maps by far. But there are a lot of PC games that easily oust it.
[QUOTE="AcidSoldner"]Meh. I think Halo 3 had some of the weakest maps in the series. Halo 1, 2, and Reach all had much better maps. The best map ever goes to ONS-Torlan in Unreal Tournament 2K4.RTCWGR1SCRB6H2Reach had better maps? HOLY MOTHER OF GOD.
Halo Reach had some of the worst maps ever. The maps were so poor that alone was enough for me to stop playing it. It didn't even matter that there were also like hundreds of other things just wrong with the game.

I'm going tohave to agree with you here. The maps were so bad/uninspired/boring that I just couldn't stomach Halo Reach anymore. I really like the single player and firefight modes in Reach too.
The ones that came with the Combat Anniversary weren't terrible though.

Yeah thats true, though I think 343 handled those so that probably had something to do with it. I think Bungie just rushed that game out the door because they knew they were gone after. Kind of like a senioritis of videogame development lol. I was so surprised that maps in a Halo game were so poor. All the normal things you could expect from them like symmetry, bases, perfect sizing, were just all gone.
