Like your brother, TC, there are many gamers who grew up on the old systems who have families or other priorities in life that take away from gaming or they lose interest in games. The Wii is bringing them back because it has made it simple for them to pick it up and play. There's also the ability to get families to play together that creates a lot of fun.

It's a new direction in gaming and people are generally excited about this. That is why the Wii sells out.

thats irrelavent...Nintendo is still the company to beat in the nextgen wars. I doesnt matter if Wii raped your dog, killed your mother, and threw little timmy in the well, its still the best selling console out of the big 3 hence the market leader, hence the console to beat.

SSMB, mario galaxy, Battalion Wars II, Project O, Crysis, Manhunt 2, No More Heroes, Metroid Prime, The DBZ tenkaichi 2, and Dbz tenkaichi 3, Rayman Raving rabids, Nights, GodZilla Unleashed......... This is just to name a FEW games that have launched already or are launching very soon. And this is just the begining... Remember we'll have a new Mario Kart... A new F-Zero..

.. or 3 or 4 or 5, or 6...... 7, 8,9 .. its been almost a year, i aint board of mine yet... and with a stella future line up, i don't imagine being board of it anytime soon...

one of the best things about the wii is the VC, so when there are so call "droughts" in games, or just no games you're interested in... VC.. and sure MS did 1st (after nintendo announced it, but whos keepin track) but the quality of games, is awsome, and as much as i like my 360 live arcade, VC smokes it

This is what I'm talking about, the last quote i mean, what makes people think that the Wii is all of a sudden gonna fall off? Is there info out there I don't know. With the "spending season" approaching and Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony getting ready, I'm sure the Big N is gonna create enough for everyone who wants one to have one. I don't know is 3rd party support is gonna be the death of the Wii but it doesn't look that way. Why can't the Wii have a brighter future? Because of Nintendo's history?

Balance is always a good thing (except in an RPG character :P), and that's why we need a console like the Wii, because the industry was starting to tip the scales further and further in a single direction.
