I mean to me It just seems gimmicky and like last minute aditions to games. Even Nintendos first party titles dont seem to be using them, hell they even give you the choice to use the gamecube controller.

It's an innovative way to play video games. It enhances the experience for certain games very well...

To me, it's just a gimmick. I too was all excited about it.. before actually playing it. It's not so good that it deserved to sell 20+ million consoles in just a year and a half.

It was fun for a little while, but when you only use your Wii for brawl, you don't even need motion sensing (well, brawl doesn't even use motion sensing)

Well, personaly i hate it. It's not fun, inovative or whatever, just annoying.

Now if people love it, good for them but i'll stick to good old controllers.

Just like the DS's touch screen, the Wii needs unique games to be made from the ground-up for it, but the Wiimote combines the best aspects of the mouse and the gamepad.

yes, it makes some controls more intuitive and the technology is completly different than for instance the motion control in the sixaxis.

In some games it does feel gimmicky, but in some games it works really really well and much better and intuitive and immersive than the dual analogue controllers.

imo

No. Combined with a camera and modern hardware it could've been though. I'd definitely like to be using it to play FPSes on PS3.

Try Okami, Metroid Prime, Zack and Wiki, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Raving Rabbids, Trauma Center and Red Steel (if it had better controls :P).

What games are those I played TP and enjoyed it but besides that nothing seems to catch my attention.

Warioware: Great ideas with how to use and hold the Wiimote.

Wii Sports: For the game that came with the system its still one of the best uses of the controller to date.

Wii Play: For a $10 game, its pretty awesome, Not to mention if they added more to it Tanks could be a great game on its own

Metroid Prime 3: I honestly did not enjoy MP or MP2, but this one did the trick for me with the reinvented control scheme

These are all excellent games, and they all use the controller differently. The controller just sets the guidelines, the rest is up to the game designers imaginations.
