are there any actual good multiplayer games for the Ps2 at all?

I bought a PS2 again recently, and I enjoy it a lot. I've played through some cool stuff like Gungrave overdose, the Xenosaga series (currently on the 3rd) Final Fantasy X, etc. it's RPG selection alone is quite good. However, I've looked around and realized I dont own a single good multiplayer game. i checked with ym friends, and none of THEM own a single good multiplayer game for the ps2. Do they actually exist? (i could care less about PS2's online, I want something I can play with friends )

socom series is pretty fun online

if you are looking for the ultimate multiplayer/online experience get halo 2 and a xbox though

if you are into racing Gran turismo 3 and 4 were pretty fun to paly if you have steering wheels

guitar hero, and DDR are soem really fun games as well

MGS3 subsistence online was amazing but sadly they took down the servers DAMN THEM

I would say it's only got great fighting games. That's the only thing I play with friends, but they aren't big fans of the genre... so I don't get much out of it with them.yoshi_64

Get NHL Hitz (any version before they crapped all over it and made it 5on 5)and a 4 player multi-tap (assuming you have at least 3 friends)...It took over 007 as the best 4 player experience for me.
