Are these games really being hyped by Lems........

I see people list great games for the X360 which I agree with. Titles such as Bioshock, Halo3, Mass Effect, PGR4, possibly AceCombat 6 and Lost Oddessy. However......

Why do Lems hype BlueDragon and Eternal Sonata with the titles mentioned above? Because they are exclusive MS titles? That's like Cows listing Folklore and Eye of Judgement as great games (which they are not even close to Lair, H.Sword, Drakes Fortune, R&C).

So I need to know this once and for all, are you Lems offically hyping BlueDragon and Eternal Sonata as AAA? I need to hear it because I've seen too many listing it as a reason to buy an X360 over the PS3 this holiday season. You don't buy a console for mediocre games so I'm assuming you think they are AAA.

I think Blue Dragon & Eternal Sonata stand a good chance of scoring AAA..... so what? you gonna call the opinion police??? Cows hype lists include much worse games than Blue Dragon & Eternal Sonata..... many times, games that no one has even heard of or know anything about.

It's funny how cows rave about FFXIII, when they know nothing about it, just because it's running on hype from the FF series.... umm... do you know who created Blue Dragon??? Umm..... yeah, thats right, the same guy that started Final Fantasy, you know back when FF's were great games....

People putting those two games int he same sentence as Mass Effect really need their eyes checked.

Basically you are saying AAA titles. That's all I wanted to know. You think it's as good as the titles I mentioned before it (basically you think it's on par with Mass Effect).

It'll be intresting to see if this is the popular opinion because frankly I've seen way too many posts stating how they are going to be the reason why 360 sells over PS3.

that isn't an exclusive technically, a PS3 version was supposed to be released this year and got delayed (imagine that) but at least we know PS3 will get it.

My problem with the two I mentioned is just because it's exclusive people are hyping them. When you put them in the same catagory of Mass Effect, that's where I think they are crazy.

Lair? Drake? Warhawk? need I go on? talk about overhype.

I can see why Heavenly sword gets some hype but the other three?

Blue Dragon has been reviewed elsewhere and scored very high - not sure if GS will give the AAA but AA at least IMHO.

I don't feel that I neccessarily think a game will be AAA in order to be hyped for it and to hype it as a game I want and believe will get good reviews. I don't always agree with GS reviews, some games I believe are better, some worse and whatever the score, it has no effect on my enjoyment of a game.

All those games you mentioned look worthy and are definately going to expand my collection.

Well, let's face the facts... Whatever I'm getting will be better than whatever your getting... Isn't that how people act? Exclusives no matter how unpromising will always get a little more hype than multiplats... Look at Killzone, the first one was one of the all time biggest flops in gaming... ie. overhyped to the extreme... It hasn't stopped people from overhyping the second one, do the graphics look good? sure, but are we overhyping? just a bit, I'd say... either way, people uses Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata as genre boosters... Its saying, "we have quality JRPG's!" and that can help convince someone to buy an XBOX 360...

I have to somewhat disagree, Blue Dragon seems like a really good game and yes generally people are hyping it due to it being an exclusive. But I personally like what I have seen.zsc4

Ever heard of tri-Ace? Hironobu Sakaguchi?... Yet you're comparing it to Folklore and Eye of judgement? Don't get me wrong they look like very interesting games, but Folklore is being made by the makers of Genji and Eye of judgement...? I really don't know...

Cows hype every possible sequel from the PS2. And the PS2 had a lot of good IPs.

They are selling points to the console, but I don't think they'll be AAA. I think they'll both be AA. I think lemmings put them in the same list as those first titles you mentioned because they ARE important games to the system, even if they won't be AAA. Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon are games that are supposed to break the taboo that the 360 is a "shooter" console, so these games are important and show the diversity and quality of the upcoming lineup moreso than tout the greatness of the actual game.

And there's nothing wrong with either game or both games getting AA, not while there's other games with AAA potential and hype. But when cows start hyping games like Lair AA, when all you used to hear is that Lair would be a must have game and own anything on the 360, it shows the lack of confidence and lack of quality in the PS3 fall lineup.

Yeah it does look interesting, they could really use that tech to evolve board games or card games in the future among other things.

Folklore falls into the HS situation, its developers are not known to have created masterpieces and yet Folklore looks very interesting to me. The whole lighthearted fantasy spirit in the game attracts me, instead of the used to death guys with swords bigger than self, that make themselves look too seriously... the gameplay of the game looks interesting as well, we'll just have to wait and see.

But to deny that games like Blue Dragon, Lost odyssey and Sonata have potential is pushing it a little.
