If they are, this would allow me to get the best two systems I missed. A lot of them up on ebay, are they legal?

These are legal because the patents to those game systems are up. So companies can make these unlicensed abominations and sell them. Don't do it though man. Buy the real systems. A Sega Genesis you can get for 24.99 and a SNES for 39.99 (can probably find them cheaper online, this is just going by a store in the local mall that sells them). ThugKing6669
the UK is a whole other kettle of fish :(

I would definitely rather have the real thing, but most of the NES I have seen barely work anymore.

I had great difficulty finding a NES in the UK after the old one broke, especially if you try to avoid ebay as I did. Mega Drives and SNES' are a bit easer to find though. (As an aside the Euro SNES looks much better than the US one :P )jtim6007
That sucks man. I hope you can find a working NES without having to resort to a knockoff though. I know I'd be mad if I couldn't play Duck Hunt any more (something about that game, it's still fun after all these years).
Yeah, wasn't the Euro SNES basically the Super Famicom, as in it had the same look to it and the controller with the colorful buttons?

That's pretty bad. I've seen a lot of boot leg systems on kotaku, most of them coming from China, such as the Vii (I believe that was what it was called). Guess that shows that video games are a popular business though.

It says "it's just not a game anymore" which is even funnier. :D
