Are We Forgetting PS3 Doesn't Have As Many Great Games As 360..

There was a price drop. Systems sell more when the prices are lower. marioraider

and ps3 did just that. are we forgetting for theprior two months before julyor so ps3 couldn't even surpass 100k units but last month sold nearly 60k more units then previous months?

More damage control, from one of the most dim cows here. Face it. PS3 still can't outsell 360, even with a price drop. And when the 360 price drop fully comes into effect, along with Bioshock, the beginning of the sales massacre will just begin. :lol: V_Isle

ps3 still lacks games there was only 3 or 4 games released in july for ps3 but it still managed to come close to 360 at the higher price point... the only ones that are in dc are lemmings for ignoring the facts. early sale estimations have already told us that the price drop didn't help 360 much at all.. i wouldn't be surprised if the numbers for next month are basically the same.

Not that i care about sales because each console will get great games, but even i was expecting the ps3 to beat the 360 and the 360 is my console of choice.

I fell for the trick of buying a wii and its collecting dust until mario galaxy(bought bioshock instead of getting metroid)

No one is forgetting that the sales boost was due to a temporary price drop. If the price drop didn't happen the sales would not have gone up.

i think he met this was temporary... i would bet the ps3 will go down next month they had barely anything release in august the only spurring the sales was a price drop. the 360 is totally different story with bioshock and a price drop it should increase more...

Just face it, you're trying to damage control at this point. Pretty much all cows and even some non-cows hyped the price drop and claimed a sales victory for the PS3. Yeah, it sure was victorious...against the Game Boy Advance, maybe. :D

All the consoles that sold better than the PS3 are cheaper, plain and simple. If the PS Triple were $250 then it would have sold well over a million units.

well for na as a whole the numbers where basically even as ps3 did outsale 360 in canada last month..

The 360 was at its weekest point in its lifespan and Sony still couldnt get ahead with a good E3 and $100 price drop. Id like to see all three console's flourish, but the PS3 really has me worried. I cant even imagine how the August through December numbers are going to look like.

and everyone seems to forget that july was the month that 360's RROD was talked about endlessly if a less than 30k drop is it for fallout from that debacle than the 360 is going to bounce back in August and September.

no spin at all its the truth.. you could buy a 360 for $300 at the time and ps3 came pretty close to 360s numbers at so much higher of a price..

lair doesn't come until sept.. noticeable releases for august are graw 2, madden and warhawk.. ps3 will do fine for august.

lair doesn't come until sept.. noticeable releases for august are graw 2, madden and warhawk.. ps3 will do fine for august.

Not sure how those can increase sales of the PS3.

but it still managed to sale near 360 in total units last month.. not only that but at the time it was $200 more then the core, $100 more then the premium, and $30 more then the elite...-Renegade

Please guys stop with the damage control. The PS3 came in last and even a price drop couldn't save it. You think things are bad now just wait until Halo 3 comes out and Nintendo tightens its grip on Japan.

no but it explains ps3 low numbers... then again are they really that low when it sales almost the same amount as 360 even though it cost more and lacks great games currently.
