Are you a gamer, or a fanboy?

Here is my definition of a gamer.

Gamer: someone who loves to play games no matter what system they are on. Someone who can appreciate thequalitiesof any good game. Some who is not bias to any other system. Someone who can justify their opinions with facts. Someone that can appreciate other games opinions. Finally somebody that likes to have fun by just playing games.

Fanboy: Somebody who uses their jealousy andarrogancetocriticizeother people opinion when it comes to gaming. Someone who doesn't have any other system, so they find flaws of other systems and exploits them with no justification of why they are doing it. Finally someone who believes thattheiropinion is actually a fact, even if they are proven wrong by other members of a gamingcommunity.

So please tell me, where do you fall in.

I would really like to know.

gamer and fanboy but mostly gamer i make fun of the xbox mostly but i will still play the good games on that system no matter what but mine did just break so im kinda s.o.l

both, I enjoy games no matter what system they are on, but that doesn't make me not resent the company that made the system.

I play games, ergo Im a gamer.

I also feel cows must be made to feel as insecure about their purchases as possible, ergo im a fanboy.

I'm a gamer... except I don't own a Wii yet :(... but that'll change with the release of some of their upcoming JRPG's

I guess i would be classified as a fanboy gamer, but i really don't have a favorite system. All of them are great, except for the NGAGE!!!!!!:D

I suppose gamer since I own all the systems.

I would definately say I'm a gamer, but I can and do let my inner fanboy out on occasion, usually in defense mode.

I would like to disagree about your fanboy statement regarding only owning one system. You can appreciate all systems without owning them, and you can own all three and still be a huge fanboy about one or more of them.

If you don't have all three systems and haven't really experienced them, andcontinuously bash other people who like the other systems. Then yes, that would make you a fanboy.

Some people don't have the money to purchase all three systems, but that doesn't give them the right to voice their opinion against something they know little about. That would be like me telling somebody they have cancer when i don't have the credentials to prove that i'm a doctor.

offcourse it does........this is about video game consoles, not something, I dont know, actually relevant in the real world.

I think your observation is flawed. I only own one, But I play the other 2 whenever Im around one. I always talk about games on other systems with people who own them. I dont think simply owning more systems makes you a non-fanboy.

Just wanted to make the point that there are gamers out there who only have one system and fanboys who own all of them.

Fanboys are just misguided gamers, they're still passionate gamers and one day when they take the blindfold off they'll be no different from any other gamer. As they say, it's just a phase :P
