Poll Are you buying battlefield? (74 votes)
So pre orders are down for the game, will you be picking it up on your platform of choice? Just curious of where the hype is here in system wars.

I have a sig that says that I haven't given EA a single dime since the beginning of 2017, and that they can, quote: "eat shit and die."
Take a wild guess.
@madrocketeer: Most people doesn't have their sigs turned on.
Nah I ain't buying. Lost interest in the game after BF3.

Okay, amended.
Nope. Was in both alphas and found I'm burnt out on battlefield. Also dont like how they insulted the player base, so no money for EA.

What did they do to insult the play base?
EA told me Not to buy their game.
So I am not buying it.
I think it’s a terrible strategy(shaming the fanbase into buying games). I just don’t think EA thought this through.
You can’t shame the fanbase and then get mad when they don’t buy the game LOL
EA: Dont buy our game you racist and sexist jerks!!!!
Gamers: Okay. I will play something else instead.
EA: Why aren’t you buying our game?! You just proved your sexist/racist!!!!!!
Gamers: lol no, but keep crying. I am going to enjoy RDR2.
@davillain-: Same, I'm on the EA Origin Premier so I automatically get it free days before it actually releases it. I am interested in the campaign.

It's one of the reasons why I'm not giving BFV a bad name, using EA Origin is the smart move and just about any EA games, I rather sub to Origin at this point.
I split my games with my friend on xbox through game sharing so i don't mind the $30 bucks. Ill wait for the same price on PC.
I might get it. From what I’ve seen on the game it does look to be quite good. If I do get it I’ll get the Xbox One version.
Most likely. I’ll have to see if I like the Open Beta first. If it’s anything like BF1 I’ll be skipping..
Still play bf1 daily, and love the series though I wish they'd drift more back towards elder bf gameplay than toward the COD series.
Bf5 has no or little bulletdrop, and they've again made it easier to kill players by upping the damage.
Hoping for some huge maps, and it's one of the few games I will preorder.
Day one. I was in both alphas and I loved it.
I did get burned hard by Battlefront II though, so DICE has one chance to make up for it. If they fail once more, it'll be my last DICE purchase.
Yeah, I didn't like either Battlefront games. They were just too much arcade and not enough strategy/tactics to be fun for any longer than a couple hours.
That being said, Battlefield 5 feels like a big step up from Battlefield 1, and I loved BF1, so I'll definitely be picking it up. Both alphas were awesome.

Battlefront II was one of the worst team games I have ever played. Even Battlefront 1 was better for teamplay, and it didn't even have classes.
In battlefront II for example you couldn't even spawn with your friends, a staple in the Battlefield franchise. You just spawned with random people and were told to "stick together", nobody ever did that however.
Hope to play some BF V with you in the open beta ;)

Yeah, despite how bad EA can be I couldn't pass up a pretty good deal. I paid for the year which was $100 and I got my moneys worth already with Battlefield V and Fifa 19. Still have Anthem and whatever 3rd party games get added.
It’s always been my preferred mp shooter
same.
This, Team Fortress, and Counter-Strike for pretty much the past 20 years
Nope. Never liked the series.
Sad to say, I prefer the CoD series and ironically, the recent ones in the last few years SUCKED.
Nope. EA told me not to buy it so I won't.
Hopefully EA learns that going all SJW and trying to shame your customers just because they want better historical accuracy and telling them not to buy your game is not a very smart thing to do.
No im not. game looks boring, generic and terrible.
You know... it's okay to like more than a select few games. Doom, STALKER, Metro, etc.... are good, but there are plenty of other good games that you should be enjoying. The act that you put on is silly.
@BassMan: my friend this is battlefield. Same mp we have seen since 2011. SP is just tack on to justify full price.
Unfortunately for EA, the loudest voices of the internet, who they have let shape their next Battlefield, were 0% of the target audience. It's a shame too, Dice are chalked full of talent- but under the EA umbrella their voice can't be heard either. It's a "no" for me.
yea most likely, they are getting rid of premium and all DLC maps/weapons will be free, which is a great move and one I want to support, even if it means people will be running around with ridiculous cosmetic items cause' EA gotta make their extra dosh somehow I guess
I also seem to put like 100+ hours into each BF entry so I'll probably get my monies worth
Sure, I have enjoyed a great number of BF games over the years, and BF1 is lots of fun and I am looking forward to seeing what they make next. As expected though, internet is too mature and distinguished in taste and principle to enjoy a fun EA game because reveling in the baseness of fun like it's low hanging fruit would just be so plebeian so let's go scoff at the idea of doing so like every drooling automaton on the internet.
Nope. They could give it to me for free and I wouldn't bother downloading it or waste my time playing it.
