Boy, I think I watched the GDC 07 Home stage demo about 30 times since Mizuke showed it to me.

I can't wait to get my hands on Home and start making my own place. I also can't wait to see how the PS3 games work into it.

I'm ready to buy the Japanese House! Bring on Home!

Edit: Informaiton for those who don't know what is Home.

Sony's answer for the next generation online service for its PSN users. A 3D, physics based, highly customizable enviroment to help people to interact, chat, and play games. The avatars are completely customizable as well as your home, your private area that you could open up to the public or invite friend privately. Your avatar and your home can be customized by free downloadable items, buy additional highly designed items, or items opened up or achieved by buying and playing PS3 games. Your private home could also be a virtual room for your clan to hang around while your home is designed specifically around the game your clan plays.

Outside of your home, there's a community with an arcade lounge, a theatre, and your achievement room. The arcade lounge has the typical party games. Bowling and pool tables. The theatre shows the latest movie as well as user created movies. And your achievement room contains all your trophies, all the games you have, and videos of your achievements like when you killed the last boss or your fastest lap in a game. It doesn't just stop there. It branches out for each developer, publisher, or any company at all. Companies could designed their own Home area which is opened to the public to advertise your products.

No.

I'm interested in HS, FFXIII, KZ2, GoW3, Ratchet and Clank, and Uncharted however.

I must have watched that stage demo a few times myself -- I was in awe. :D Personally the most exciting thing for me with the PS3 (bar maybe LittleBigPlanet). :P

LBP is a game, Home isn't. That's like someone asking, "Does your car get good gas mileage?" and you replying "Yea well a BMW is FASTER!"

An update for Sony's online social community on PSN. Is Xbox Live a game? Home is a neat little way of creating your own digital "myspace" profile on your PS3.

its not a game. think of it more as a 3d social environment or chat room where you walk around with your customized character and can communicate with other people, and you can also create your own house that you can decorate kind of like the Sims. the feature is a lot like Second Life if you've dabbled in that at all (less x-rated stuff though ;P)

Not wanting to quote that long quote even more. Home is an online feature though. Like text messaging to a cell phone. You can still make your phone calls, but the text messaging makes things more convenient at times. And yes Home looks really amazing.

I'll quote myself. I wrote about Home at some length. Gotta find a post.

It's just a fun little extra... It won't harm nothing and it's not ESSENTIAL that you use it so yes, a very welcome addition.

Home is a cool concept, however i hope they moderate it....it sounds like a breeding ground for pr0n, pedo's, and other inappropriate things.

You know what'd be cool? If there were like Sony hired policemen who'd give hooligan's a public beating in Home.

I'm really excited. Not exactly for the microtransaction crap to outfit your room but the potential of this thing is huge. It will really help network PS3 users much better. Being able to jump into any game together is the best feature. Playing minigames and LBP with groups of friends is going to be ridiculously fun.
