Are you expecting alot from Max Payne 3?

I pre prdered it, and its day one for me because i love max payne. But for some reason, i'm not all that excited....like i got a feeling it might miss something when i play it. I hope i'm wrong though, i hope it scores 9's and 10's and across the board

I preordered it as well, but I'm not expecting it to be as amazing as the first 2 were to me. I just want a solid third person shooter, with a good story. If I personally rate the game an 8, I'll be very happy with my purchase. But honestly, I haven't liked a R* game this gen, but I keep giving them a chance.

I'm new to the series. Having pre-ordered on Steam, I'm currently playing through the first two games. As long as the story and characterisation holds up...it's going to be worth it.

I already know what to expect really. Its gonna be good SP wise but im not sure about the MP. R* has been hit n miss for me when it comes to their online but im hoping they do a solid job with MP3 it would be great if there's actually something enjoyable to do after the SP is over.

It's been a while since I've been so excited for a game as Max Payne 3, it's been 8 years since Max Payne 2. I've pre-ordered it too and in anticipation for the release I'm replaying both Max Payne 1 &2.

Eventhough they have gotten older, which shows in graphics, they are still great games to play today and the gameplay and story is still excellent.

I can't wait to dive in slow motion in the streets of Sao Paolo.

I couldn't care less if the game scores a 10 or a 6. I just hope the game becomes a classic like the previous MP games and is still fun to play 8 or more years from now:)

Seriously though, this might just have the best soundtrack of the year for a retail game. The HEALTH track in this TV spot is freaking dope.

And expecting the PC version to actually be good compared to GTA IV PC version. (GTA IV runs amazing on my system, but no way should it take up as much hardware resources as it does).

First two were great and this one looks even better. The only thing that may suck is the games length.silversix_

Of course I am. The game is going to be amazing I am 100% sure of that. Especially after playing Red Dead Redemption and L.A Noire. Although I am not expecting it to surprise me as much as L.A Noire did. What an amazing, original game!

Though I doubt GTA IV will give you the same amount of sheer combat abilities (since it would make the combat WAY too easy and be a bit hard to fit all the other aspects of GTA on a simple controller), I hope the targeting and control system stay since they look incredibly polished and fun to use.

first off it's ROckstar, and their games this gen are so overrated (GTA4, LA Noire, Red Dead). all were boring to death.

i love love love Mas Payne but i don't know if i'll get this simply because it's Rockstar. totally overrated this gen. their games the past gen were exponentially better.

but then again, it's my nostalgia year. Max Payne plus Hitman? damn...

You should. The atmosphere is incredible and the stories are the darkest I have ever seen in gaming. It's also fun playing as a detective. I can see how people got bored near the end but it kept me gripped.

ehhh...problem with LA Noire is that it has zero replay value. i mean, you can get the case wrong but it won't reward you for it so what's the point of wanting to see what;ll happen if you'll only get penalizes?

I hope the story and the character of Max Payne will be allright with me, otherwise it's going to taint this series. Besides that little worry, i'm expecting it to be at least as enjoyable as the other two masterpieces.

I am expecting a better than average TPS. I have no faith in the Max Payne series without Remedy doing it.

Exactly what I'm thinking and hoping. The games will play different of course, but just hoping the gunplay and controls are as smooth in GTA V as they appear to be in this game
