Are you happy with 2018 so far?

It seems like 2017 spoiled us. By this time last year, we had Horizon, Resident Evil 7, Yakuza 0, Nier Automata, Breath of the Wild, and the release of the Switch. This year hasn’t been too bad so far, but I don’t think it compares. Are you happy with 2018 at this point, SW? Do you think it will pick up?

Yes I am very happy with 2018 so far. Monster Hunter World has far and away been my most favourite game so far this year and Dragon Ball FighterZ is another excellent game as well.

2018 has been very good to me so far, not just games, but also movies at the theaters as well have been treating me very well. Same for new Animes I been watching.

With two Yakuzas, Sonic Mania DLC, Valkyria Chronicles 4, DB Fighterz, and more, yeah, I'm happy.

so far its the indie/mid-tier games that I've been enjoying the most this year so far.

Subnautica, Into the Breach, They are Billions, Vermintide 2 have all been really enjoyable.

Kingdom Come Deliverance kept me busy for a while, I loved it initially, but the amount of bugs ended up lowering my opinion of it.

So overall, gaming wise, 2018 has been good so far. better than 2017 for me even; the only early 2017 game to really grab me was Nioh.

I haven't bought a new game yet this year but next week Farcry 5 comes out and it will finally start the new year for gaming. This year looks a hell of alot better than last year for me it just took a long ass time to get here.

I dunno, too busy getting caught up on my backlist, still haven't got through the 2017 AAA games yet.

Monster Hunter on Pro, Kingdom Come and Subnautica on PC make me busy enough,

Far Cry 5 on PC and God of War on Pro will be my next list

Think the only 2018 game I've bought so far is Metal Gear Survive and I've been pretty happy with that. It's been mostly backlog for me.

Haven't bought a single 2018 game yet. Maybe Sea of Thieves later this year

PS4 destroying Xbone like usual, so ok I guess...used to it now.

Monster Hunter, Dragon Ball Z, Sea of Thieves, God of War, Bayonetta 1 and 2 on Switch and so much more coming out. Seems pretty damn awesome so far!

I think Sea of Thieves tomorrow is gonna be my first 2018 game. Still drowning in 2017 titles :)

Yes. Monster Hunter World, Subnautica and Kingdom Come Deliverance have been a joy. I don't remember a previous year in gaming with such a good start. Oh wow.... @SolidGame_basic I did not realize that we had so many good games at this point last year... OK well 2017 tops 2018 so far but it's still really good!

If you are a PC gamer be sure to check out Ghost of a Tale and The Council that have both released this year. Easy to miss games since they don't have AAA advertising but they're pretty COOL.

Well not really, Fighter Z and Surviving Mars are the only interessting titles for me that are out right now. But I'm happy I can go through my backlog.

What if Metro Exodus disappoints like Mankind Divided?

What's there to play besides Monster Hunter World this year? Subnautica only came out for pc, god knows why.

I hope it's not as depressing as the previous game, because that one was depressing as all hell!

From this year I played only two games- FighterZ and Secret of Mana HD.

FighterZ is great and I had so much fun learning characters and combos. Secret of Mana on the other hand... is boring. At least the music is masterpiece (which I play with the original music, so there isn't anything "new" here).

Considering 2018 has the most ammount of AAA and AA metacritic scores, i'm guessing its the biggest year yet.
