With everything you've seen, read and know so far, are you happy with Wii U at this point in time?

I traded over 40 games and my extra 360 to get one but right now I am starting to think I am just gonna either upgrade my PC (But I do not like PC gaming), or just get a Vita.
They should drop the Wii brand. They made great consoles and games until Wii happened.JohnnyCageMKOne question, did you think that the gamecube had great games at the time while it went through frequent droughts and being shunned by Rockstar and Criterion?
I'm not going to make any judgement until I see several first party titles in action. Pikmin 3 looks decent, but it's not my sort of thing.
SW is not a place to find too many supporters of Nintendo anyway.

Gamecube had plenty of great games. Plus Melee was actually fun unlike Brawl. I also had a Xbox and PS2 so I didn't buy Gamecube for multiplats.
No.
As much as I like Nintendo, the Wii-U's trend is next to nowhere. I own a tablet that displays higher than 480p, I own an HD console...I could've lived with Nintendo releasing an HD console with an actual wireless controller...but nooooooooo...
For Ninty loyalists, the Wii-U's a different breed. For gamers who've dealt with the inconsistencies of Wii's lackluster titles whilst enjoying other consoles annnnnnnd...are aware of this current gen's HD capabilites...it makes me wonder why the Wii-U wasn't released earlier.
But, in fairness, the tide can shift t any time.
I haven't been this unenthuesed by a Nintendo console since the Gamecube. Nintendo better step it up before launch or else I'll be holding off on getting a Wii U for a while. So to answer your question, no I'm not.
Yeah the launch window is much better than Wii's exclusives wise but they need more 360 ports, say Black Ops 2, Madden/Fifa/Nhl etc.
I don't think there is one Nintendo game that doesn't use the Wiimote so I'm pleased that Wii's main controller is still very much in play.
I'm also very pleased with the innovation angle, the examples of asymmetric gameplay shown are awesome and original.
Oh and dat GamePad, it'll become my go to system for retro games, I'll play all those NES/SNES/N64/GC games on the pad itself, which it not only more comfortable but the games will look sick on its small screen.
With that said I'm disappointed that Nintendo didn't treat E3 as Wii U's big blowout, I suspect they are holding off until closer to launch. There's a ton of stuff we need to hear about like eShop, the various apps, online.
I'm indifferent. I'm kind of done with Nintendo. I enjoyed their games but I've had my fill of what they make, not that I dislike it, I just don't feel like constantly re experiencing their franchises justifies purchasing their systems.
It's cool their trying to get third party support, but getting games I can already get on the system I already own isn't going to win me over.
They either need to create a slew of great new ips or get 3rd parties to constantly give them high quality exclusive if I'm to ever buy a console of theirs again. A new controller just isn't going to cut it, rspecially seeing hwo the whole motion contoller phaze has panned out.
I think Nintendo did screw up on one thing with the WiiU. The touch screen on the tablet controller is very limited without multiple touch commands. Only one finger at a time is pretty basic. Hell, the Vita can handle multiple touch inputs from the front as well as from the back.
Other than that, i think i will have a good time with the Wii U. I just wish Nintendo went the extra mile for a system with a touch pad controller.
eh, multi-touch would make it incredibly expensive, and the wii u is already full of buttons, so it's not like they need multi-touch to compensate the lack of those. it would hardly ever be used. i'm more worried about how responsive and smooth to use the screen is.I think Nintendo did screw up on one thing with the WiiU. Once I've finished building my time machine and jump forward a year I'll let you know.

If you build a time machine and that's the best idea you can come up with, don't bother. For starters, providing you are both a genius and an engineer and it's actually possible, it'll take you at least a year to come up with the concept and build one. At least. You might as well wait.

That makes no sense... he clearly said this point in time with the information we have already and yet you can't seem to summon up some sort of opinion? Maybe when you build your time machine you should go back in time and stop your self from falling head first on to that rock...In spite of everything, I was very optimistic about it and hoping to be impressed. I liked their 2011 demos. I thought their chances were good.
E3 was a disaster. From what we've seen so far, it looks like they're on course to squander their headstart window of opportunity.
I remain open to persuasion, maybe they'll save some big reveals for Nintendo direct. But unless they come up with something soon, I won't be buying at launch. If they lose me for more than the first year, I may end up just waiting for whatever Sony/MS come up with and skip Nintendo entirely.
I am kinda bummed from what I am seeing about the WiiU. I have a ton of respect for Nintendo and I hope the WiiU ends up being a great system though.CanYouDigltThis, I am not currently happy, but I am hoping that feeling will change within the next couple of months, or I may wait a year or two before committing to Wii U.
Well if they want to appeal to the core gamer like they said last year then they need to change the ****ing name. The core gamer prboably won't buy it simply because it has "Wii" in its name.

This.
Even if Nintendo's Wii-U turns out to be a decent console; it would be better with a different name so we don't associate it with the horrifying aspects of Wii.
