Replaying Dantes Inferno , Perfect Dark (XBLA) on my Xbox 360.
Well?
Ninja Gaiden 2 on Xbox One. I hope the series returns next gen.
Nice. I bought a XBX a few months back to play NGB and NG2 enhanced. NG2 looks and runs so damn clean now.
Love the combat system in NG2, just wish more of the enemies/encounters were on the same level as NGB in terms of balance and polish. I especially dislike the overabundance of flying enemies in some sections.
Still, great action game. Even putting the campaign aside, would play it for the mission mode alone.

So yeah, aside from NG, been playing plenty of classics.
Most recently I've been on:
If we're not talking too far back, also played some Wonderful 101 and FFXII.
Skyrim with mods still great combat dated but the amount of quest lines in this game is almost unmatched by any game today.
My PS3 has been working hard the last couple of weeks.
I was playing Ni no kuni: wrath of the white witch. but after 15 hours it just didn't click. Love the art style (looks great on a 4K monitor too when runnning on the PS3). love the soundtrack. love the welsh voice acting...gaming needs more of that. but i just dont like the combat system and there is A LOT of it. the companion AI is brain dead and the whole system......i just don't find it fun. i would have preferred....well....something else. either turn based like persona perhaps or something like tales. maybe the game just expects the player to do a ton of grinding or maybe there is some trick i'm just not getting....i dunno. ah well.
tried to get back into viking: battle for Asgard. i was reminded that it is pants. again crap combat system and there is a lot of it.
i'm currently playing god of war 3. good old fashioned mindless hack and slashing where the protagonist is a complete prick. it's grand....nothing special but certainly far from awful. visually its actually aged pretty well too imho. i also forgot how good the soundtrack can be at times.
once this run is done i think that will be the PS3 retired then to be honest (finally). i can't really think of anything else i want to play on it. it may have been a very badly designed system but it still had some dam fine games.
I bought an x7 everdrive for my Gameboy and Game Gear so been playing those games a lot lately and the built in save state and Game Genie feature is convenient but I still had to give up on Metroid 2 though ha.
I love to re-play my good old Megadrive and A500 games, once in a while, but honestly current gen indie games almost replaced that habit i always had. I have played more and better 2d pixelart new games lately than i did during the entire 8 and 16bit gens!
XIII (PC; though I just recently ordered a physical GameCube version)
Pokemon Yellow (3DS)
Psychonauts (XBOX)
And I also picked up a SEGA Genesis Mini
This past week I beat the original Call of Juarez. I played Gunslinger earlier this year and absolutely adored it, so I wanted to go back and play the first two titles. The original is definitely dated and rough around the edges, but I had a good time with it. Story was pretty solid, too.

Yeah gunslinger is just a really fun experience. It just goes with what it does best and has a lot of fun with it.
The original Call of Juarez had the two distinct main protagonists mechanic, but that was about it.
I bought that NBA Jam Arcade 1UP cabinet yesterday. When I'm done working today and get the kids to bed, im gonna play some old school b-ball all night long
I'm still replaying MCC on PC, those Halo games are old but for nostalgic, its still fun to play the campaign all over again, especially CE when the Flood is introduced to the game. And I'm also replaying Spyro games from the remake as we speak.
In short, I love replaying my old games.
@R4gn4r0k: Gunslinger is pure arcadey fun and actually gets better on repeat playthroughs imo. In the beginning it's a pretty typical slow paced FPS, but once you have a bunch of abilities it's surprisingly fast paced and an absolute blast. It honestly has worked its way onto my list of favorite shooters, although I admittedly don't play the genre all that often. Still, I loved it.
I agree that CoJ 1 pales in comparison, but I still had a good time with it. It was uncommonly ambitious in a lot of ways. Sort of in the same vein as The Darkness, which was also somewhat dated but really creative.

I honestly agree in every single way and I think both The Darkness and COJ deserve a remake.
But more than anything I'd just really like a sequel of gunslinger :)
Yeah. FF8. It's the remaster, though. Nice subtle improvements, and the characters look great. Being able to speed up fights is a plus. That being said, I don't use the cheats.
