this is one of those battles that no one wins because: DMC has the overall best combat system by a mile but GOW has everything else from graphics to setting, story, etc. When you put everything side by side then GOW is the indisputable winner but for some people the battle system is everything so at the end is just a matter of opinion. =/
Can I say both?
Dante is the better more interesting character character, but the story makes no sense and presented/told horribly (4 was ok with this and 3 was decent, 1 and 2 though hardly make any sense), God of War has a coherent story, but Kratos is less interesting to me. Both are fun to play, but I will say Devil may cry is much harder but I can't finish either on high difficulties. So, I really don't know, I like both.
I think my sig might make it quite obvious. But I've come to be much more pro-Demon's Souls over the past couple weeks.ZevianderDemon's Souls has nothing to do with and is nothing like DMC or God of War.
You can't compare the mediocre Devil May Cry franchise to the consistently brilliant God of War series, why would anyone want to play a dreadful game when they can play a masterpiece? God of War >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>x1000000000000000000000>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Devil May Cry.
Demon's Souls has nothing to do with and is nothing like DMC or God of War.AcidSoldnerWrong. Demon's Souls is merely a slower, deeper game that relies more on stats than combos. Both DMC and DS rely HEAVILY on skill and reaction time. Just because you don't think they are similar (I realize they are not in the same genre) doesn't mean I don't... they require very similar sets of skills to play well. Castlevania: Curse of Darkness on Crazy also reminds me a lot of Demon's Souls and DMC(3 specifically). A game doesn't have to be exactly the same to remind someone of something else. Quit being a genre nazi.
I am pro Bayonetta, Heavenly Sword, Dante's Inferno, and Ninja Gaiden Black.
I would play God of War before DMC though.

I would say DMC3 takes way more skill to beat than Demon's Souls, unless your challenge gaming to make the game hard.
I like all the GoWs, and DMC1, DMC went way downhil when Kamiya left, im welcoming this "rebirth" with open arms.

DMC3 on the higher difficulties is ridiculous at times. But it isn't the difficulty that reminds me of DMC when playing DS, it's the hand-eye coordination requirements. The very definitive inputs rather than mashing.
