I was on the verge of coughing up blood for playing such a crap game for so long.

IF I do get Assasin's Creed, it looks like I'll be getting the PS3 version.

To answer the question: I'm proud of the achievements that are hard to achieve.

im really havin trouble with AC because i LOVE acheivements, but i like the PS controller alot more. ive pretty much decided that ill get 360 version if they release the acheivement list before the release and they are sweethustler_151

i am proud of my 360 achievements. they get me to play the game deeper and do things i wouldnt have done otherwise. i would probably never play games on hard. i beat them on normal and thats it. but i play through hard to get the achievement, and its a sense of accomplishment when im done.

plus i go for the online achievements too and do things i normall wouldnt do. im normally not one for survival type matched, but i did it in rainbow 6 for the achievement, and it was fun. so they get you to play the games in ways you normally wouldnt. true some achievements are a hassle, but some make you do and see things and even parts of the game you didnt or wouldnt.

and anyone who plays GH2 and beats Jordan on expert, should be damn proud of that achievement, damn proud. i could never do it, not even close.

Cows will see achievements are stupid because they don't have achievements on the PS3. Sounds simple and naive even, but that's the truth... I didn't care for achievements until I started playing on the 360 and realized for some reason, that achievements want me to keep playing.

For instance, in Gears of War you can look at other player's achievements and pretty much judge how good they are based on ahievements... it's kinda sweet

yea at first i thought the whole idea of achievements was stupid when the announced it before the 360 came out. but then i started playing games and wanted to get that perfect 1000 score. i played through COD2 just to get it, took forever, but i was so proud when i got all 1000 (my first game) :)

Crackdown and Dead Rising. Both share the crown for the best achievements I've seen in any game.

I think those are actually related to the blue lines you see in the trailers. I don't actually think they want you to crash your system by glitching the RAM.

it's not the points, it's the achievements. They're like cool little side missions rhar you can show off to friends.

I think of achivements as extra things to do in a game, kinda like all that side stuff in GTA games.user_nat

so let me understand

theres things in a game like pass level 2 with only using a pistol... for 10 points. thats something you wouldnt do normally? but for those 10 points you would?

so once you get those 10 points to add to you 1000 gamertag points for a total of 1010 points... the whole end point is what? to get your points so high someone is impressed and says "wow you got alot of points"?

and what about games like spiderman3 or saints row that has a completion %, (say if those games didnt have achievements) and only a "% completed" would you try to get 100% of the game done if no one would know about it?

is seems like you need to be givin points to have a sence of accomplishment, otherwise you wont try to complete 100% of the game ... which is sad
