The latest rumour is that Sony has great optimism and are very positive about its next live service game in Fairgames by Haven Studios.
I don't know about you, but I think Sony's in for another arse kicking, and i'm sure we're all here for it 🤭
Lems have been spending a lot of time talking about Sony games lately. I guess there isn’t much to play on the Xbox 😆
As someone who's reading about videogames every day, I hadn't even heard of Concord until close to release, and I haven't heard about this game. If I haven't, most people haven't. So again, like Concord, another unknown and samey game in an already crowded market? Good luck with that, I guess. I would've focused on fun shit in either new or established franchises instead of crapping out terrible milking games until one sticks, but that's just me.
I'm a LOT more interested in Fairgames... it won't do nearly as bad.
From everything I've gathered it's like a multiplayer pvp version of Payday in sense that teams must defend or steal property.
Could be a lot of fun, and I'll probably get it to try it out where as I had no interest in Concord from thr start.
The only sony live service game I have a slight interest in is Marathon because of Bungie.
Whatever this Fairgames is, I hope it at least fares better than concord.

It's a PvPvE heist game. That's not a very competitive space AFAIK so it has a much better chance of doing well.
People need to keep in mind Jim Ryan signed more contracts to get as many as GaaS & PVP games before he left Sony. He rarely did anything on the SP side of things. Whatever is left, Sony is trying to get them out asap.
I'll always give a game a chance if it's worth my time and if not, I'll just move on. I'll check out Fairgames whenever they'll show gameplay trailer. Concord just didn't click for me as I've played too much on Overwatch and an Overwatch clone doesn't work for me...unless you do something very unique which Concord didn't do.
Meh. Based off first impressions, Fairgames did nothing for me. Looks very generic.
Marathon on the other hand, that looks at least visibly excellent. I don't care much for extraction shooters but based off looks and style alone, I wanna be in that world. We know Bungie can deliver on gameplay so I'm hopeful for this one
@Nonstop-Madness: It might not take the industry by storm, but the genre is new and doesn't have much competition. If the game is competent it will do well (just an educated guess, but all the red flags of Concord simply aren't there).
I'll probably buy the game day 1 if it looks decent where as I never had any interest in purchasing Concord... nor did anyone else I know.
Concord should have been ftp day one. They overestimated the magic of the $40 price tag after Helldivers 2 and thought at that price it would do very well.
Doesn't seem ready to release I can't even find any gameplay videos of it just CGI trailers. That doesn't sound like any game they have high hopes for but then again they say a State Of Play is imminent.

He’s like an evil Bond villain. Why did he do this? Playstation was donig brilliantly… Ryan: Destroy everything, collect bonus, jump ship. What a crook…
If Sony fans were smart they'd identify a festering turd from a mile away and ignore it. They did it with Concord(lol) If you want your focused single player games back you better not be buying hot garbage that sets the industry back. Have some standards not a slave to a company.
fairgames sony needs to show it. never heard of it. funny xbox fans forget the helldiver2 was a success. were is xbox success of these games? redfall?
Funny how cows forget that Helldivers is from a third part dev who came up with the idea and made it where Sony bought the IP.
Big difference from a Sony dev coming up with garbage live service games from within.
Never heard of it. Which is a bad start.
So ya, expecting a Concord pt 2 lol.
Although I genuinely hope we take the right lesson from this: that is, that people generally don't want live-service games. The exceptions to the rule prove this, as very few of these are successful in the long-term. Some MMO's, a couple hero-based PvP games, and some looter-shooters are really the only standouts, and they've been at the top for 10+ years.
Looks unappealing, but will probably do a bit better, I dunno.
Not sure why a corporation like Sony would promote this ideology, or trying to make it cool. It's not 🤷♂️.
