@emgesp: Well yeah, I know that. But if they're just going to run the same games, I'm not sure if I care enough to upgrade. Sony and MS need to sell me on them.
I think it all comes down to the price to performance ratio. I mean if you can sell your current gen PS4 and get like $200 credit to put towards the Neo which most likely will cost $399.99 tops I think it'd be worth it for a 2.3x bump in power.
Agreed.
I think this is the hardest console upgrade choice we've ever been given. From what we "know" of the two, Scorpio is likely better than Neo, but we know Neo will share our current PS4 games.
We can assume that Scorpio will also share X1 and possibly even 360 games, given the lengths they've gone to get BC on X1, especially given Phil's past talks on the subject, but unlike Neo, we can't say for certain.
On the other hand, X1 has the flaw of now releasing all it's games on PC, so the question then becomes, if interested in the Scorpio, would you be better off just spending that same money on upgrading your PC? Could you get a PC with the same or better specs of a Scorpio for the same price? (I'm not up to date on PC parts pricing, but 6 Terraflops sounds like it could be expensive)
Same with Neo, is it really worth upgrading from the PS4, instead of upgrading a PC for the same price, you can still play the small handfull of PS exclusives on the PS4, but you can also then get all PC exclusives and have the best versions of most multiplats.
Both Sony and MS absolutely have to get the pricing right with these, or they'll risk annoying too many people and sending them over to PC.
