Done well it gives a game added value. I love ME3's MP.Multiplayer is what sells a game today. Sad really.

Key words.
My biggest problem with this gen is the MP games
And 99% of them are ALL the same, it has a kid sitting in a corner the whole match waiting to kill you, and thats if your lucky enough that he hasnt hacked the match yet.
Most of the MPs are either dead on arrival or die in 6 months anyways, its stupid.
I very much am, though if developers add multiplayer and actually care about it a bit then it can turn out to be awesome as hell. For every failure like Dead Space 2 and Condemned 2 online, you get sweet additions like Assassin's Creed's multiplayer, Uncharted 2/3's fun frantic multiplayer, and Mass Effect 3's incredibly addicting and well done multiplayer.
The new Sleeping Dogs game has no multiplayer at all. Only stat tracking like EA's autlog, which should make it a nice change for those looking for an MP experience.
Personally I love online, but if it's tacked on (Bioshock 2) than it's useless
But Twisted Metal online is too fun to ignore..
Indeed I do. I'm not really a fan of multiplayer games, games like Tribes Ascend and TF2 along with some other honarable mentions are games that do multiplayer (imo) quite well and I do enjoy them. Nowadays, it seems like every game just has to have some form of multiplayer to make it sell. Even Elder Scrolls might be falling into this category as well what with this Elder Scrolls MMO, hopefully the main series doesn't get affected but...ya never know.
Why can people not look at these high class single player games and MAKE THEM. Why does everyone think multiplayer makes a game sell? The gaming community's mindset is just going south and not for the winter for EVER.
