My dad is. My mom and dad were gamers when NES was out, before they got a divorce and broke up. My mom stop playing games. But my dad still play games like Tomb Raider 2 and 3, Top Gear1 & 2.....well anything just about except first person shooters. He really plays golf alot though, specifically Hot Shot Golf FORE......
......... Laughed myself to tears. I tried to get my mudder to play a racing game back in the day.... a racing game for God sakes, and she could even control that.Private_Vegas
 Same with my mom too, and my dad. I got them to try to race against each other. It was hilarious because they couldn't get the controls right and kept driving into a wall. It was PGR3 by the way.
My dad is mildly interested in games occasionally (in other words, no, he doesn't game). My mom, however, plays games like Bejewelled, Spider Solitaire, and Zuma all the time, and loves repetitive and simple, yet challenging puzzle games, as well as memory or mind exercise games. I'm going to be getting her Brain Age for Christmas.

Sounds like my mom too. She plays Zuma a lot. She used to play Chuzzle too and now recently has gotten into Ravenhearst.
She also played some games on the SNES and Genesis like Super Mario World and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine.
i wish
i got my parents to play wii sports
but if it isnt tennis or bowling, i dont think they'd be willing to play anything else with me
my dad actually asked me if i got any new wii games
im like "yeah mario..." didnt even mention zack and wiki, hes like well what do you do in it
and since its not a sport i just have to say "oh... its a typical game"
i could actually.. explain the game, but i didnt feel that was explaining what he wanted to know about it
he was trying to suggest ways which the wiimote would be used in it or something
im just like "no.... its like a regular game"
maybe if i tried to explain he could use the wiimote as a 2nd player during it, but i just dont feel like that contributes enough to really feel like gaming cooperation, even for my dad
im better off getting my gf to play an rpg that isnt kingdom hearts
i keep looking for co op games for us, but she usually ends up too busy and i wanna complete the game so i just beat it myself , too jaded to play it again with someone
right now shes playing flash focus, cooking mama2, we just tried some mario party ds last night
Nope. My dad played Chestmaster on SNES back in the day, but very rarely.
My mom was an obsessed Pac-Man and Burger Time fanatic in the 1980s with my Atari 400 and Intellivision, but that was it.
Not even the Wii, which I told them specifically about would convince them to even play videogames again. They're in thier 60s right now, they'd just rather relax, go fishing orvacation in Hawaii (they have a summer house there) in thier spare time.

She'll get bored of the games after a while, and she's had trouble finding a new one she likes (other than Text Twist) so I think I'll suggest she looks up that Chuzzle game.
Nah...my parents abhor my gaming habits and often tell me to get a life. However, my dad made an attempt to get into gaming like 8 years ago when I was playing SF Alpha III. He started playing, said the game was too much, and didn't want to get too "involved". He was really getting into it too, calling Chun-Li the "b word" everytime he got hit. It was pretty funny.
I think a lot of people are just afraid to enjoy gaming because it might turn them into a nerd.

I'm always fascinated by the incompetance displayed by non-gamers when it comes to controls. The simplist things such as racing games, or an on rails shooter will completely mystify them.
