The RTS genre is just so boring. It's a waste of space. How do you have fun with RTS games?

Okay , maybe my feelings towards RTS games arent as crazy as I made the title of this thread sound. And I was only kidding when I said that it was a waste of space. But I just want to know what do some people see in RTS games? I think thats the only grenre of gaming that I will never get into.

No , of course. I'm sure that there are many people that love it. And for good reasons too.

But with me , I consider myself a man who loves games and I tend to play everything. But RTS is something that I can not get into. Thats all.

i'm one of those guys that used to love rts on the pc

age of empires2, command and conquers, starcraft/warcrafts were all great games

especially online, it consumed many hours of my life

more so than when the ps2 first came out

Playing RTS against people is where its at but its hard to get past the "tank rush" crap so many people pull online especially if you get used to taking your time in the SP game and enjoy building up a base. The feel of the game changes completely. You can adjust if you are willing to put the time in but there are so many freaks out there. Every RTS game that comes out claims to have solved the "tank rush" problem but they all have it in one way or another unless there is a set time limit before you can attack. When they started adding in all these multiple abilities for units the games got too complicated for me.JiveT
