This game has been on my radar for quite some time and I must admit that it looks a whole lot more promising than most big budget titles out there.
Anyone else feels the same? Why isn't this game hyped more by console users?

Looks great. Wish it had single player mode but the game looks attractive nonetheless. Haven't tried myself yet.

Not even close. Ark is bad even by early access indie game standards.
It looks amazing, but the early access thing kinda kills it for me, and that video posted above really kills it for me.
Looks good, I'm currently playing "The long dark" (survival in snow environment) through early access and I'm loving it. I'll check out Ark as well.
@lostrib: I became very interested in it even before a console version of any kind was announced. A student of mine going by the name of David had introduced it to me.
Considering the timing, I'm going to guess this is only be because it was shown for X1 at gamescom
And this is the truth but salt will deny it. he displayed interest the moment it was shown on a MS conference. coincidence? I think not.

uh huh, sure
So a game that's been out for a couple months now, and yet you only bring it up after MS announces it for the X1 at gamescom
I'm sure that's totally a coincidence

It does have a SP mode, by that I mean it throws you in the world and your goal is to survive with no story at all.
@lostrib: Actually I had been wanting to create a thread about it for some time now but I just never got around to do it. The recent presentation must have been a catalyst, though.
I'll save you the trouble: like most survival games (yes, it's a survival game at heart) it's broken to hell and back.
I bought it on the Steam sale and it is poorly coded as f***. Runs in windowed mode even in fullscreen and can't adjust the resolution. Spent hours just trying to get it above 640x480 (even then it was a slideshow), never even got to play it. I finally gave up and got a refund.
It needs A LOT of work before it is even close to being a beta, let alone ready for launch.

I meant campaign,,, like Dino Crisis.

Never played the game but thats how it looks to me from the videos i've seen. Great ideas and great concepts, but looks a little glitchy. Looks like a great game that just happens to be lacking the polish of an AAA game. So pretty much its like an obsidian game :P
@Salt_The_Fries: have you actually played it? its a bore chore and a half... but yea it got good concepts.... but the implementation has a left a lot to be desired.
Wow, Good thing I've already played and enjoyed/enjoy this game, or else these sw impression might have had an effect on my choice to buy.
Requires A non potato pc and Friends to play it with though for an enjoyable experience.
