With the much more anticipated Battlefield 3 and MW3 on the horizon, I wouldn't have made my move to show it this year but whatever.
Next year release, woo! My body...err PC will be ready! Lets just hope it plays more nicely with our computers this time :)

their not even remotly similar games....
Realistic military FPS game vs 2 semi realistic military FPS games.
Besides, when it comes down to it one hardcore, PC only FPS with little marketing would likely do much better on a year that doesn't have two massive juggernauts competing for the affections of the PC market, one already heavily on the winning side and considerably more well known to PC gamers then any Arma.

lol, you think thats the only difference between them?
Arma isnt a "realistic FPS"...its a war sim, and a very different type of game to BF3. were talking about a dynamic, open world, sandbox, squad based simulator with a very heavy emphasis on user generated content and coopertive play...vs BF3, and MW2. beyond the similar visual look, they have nothing in common.
If you have any intrest in realistic FPS's, you know about Arma already.

No, its a military simulator (ARMA) vs fast paced arcade game (CoD) vs team-based, open-field warfare (Battlefield.
ARMA isn't comparable to any of them. Especially since none of them can do mega-scale battles with tanks, jets, infantry...its orgasmic. CoD is too arcadey and unrealistic while Battlefield focuses on team gameplay in an extremely open environment. All different and you can't compare any to ARMA.
ARMA also has its own hardcore fanbase, as well as casuals/ect who enjoy it plus the modding community. Thats what they've always aimed ARMA at and thats where it'll stay. This time they're actually trying to make an interesting single player though :D Its obviously done well enough to support a new game so soon.
I anticipate arma 3 more than bf3 and mw3 as well as the whole arma community. With the much more anticipated Battlefield 3 and MW3 on the horizon, I wouldn't have made my move to show it this year but whatever.

This.
And i know what ArmA is and what Take On is but WTH si carrier command?
From the only video i found looks like a cross between ArmA (or VBS2) and Halo (in sci-fi weapons and vehicles). Looks cool. Hope they do it right, but ArmA 3 is a must buy for me and probably Take On Helicopters too.
If DCS, Bohemia and the Steel Beasts developers (don't know their names) would get together to make a game it would be... no words....
P.S: Also hope Iron Front (a WW2 game with the ArmA 2 or ArmA 3 engine) from Deep Sliver comes out right.

Mw3 semi-realistic? lol no Arma runs off an engine used by the Military for virtual training, thats how realistic it is... the game isn't even comparable to a FPSWell..to be honest, I expect them to show much more at gamescom. PC devs always show very big restrain on E3, just to save up the good stuff for gamescom. THat said, if they can afford it going to E3 is still good idea, especially since they have three games in production. Funny thing is, if they do it right Take on Helicopter will outsell the other two in USA.With the much more anticipated Battlefield 3 and MW3 on the horizon, I wouldn't have made my move to show it this year but whatever.
