Armed Gamestop robbery with tied victims for 15 Xone'.s

Police are looking for two men in connection with an armed robbery at a GameSpot.

Police say one of the suspects came in and shopped around the store on 86th and Michigan Rd. just before 10 p.m. Monday. He stopped at the counter to ask about the merchandise. A second man came in with a revolver.

Hasan Alkutbi was out with a friend shopping for a video game, when one of the men walked up to the counter and pointed the gun at the clerk.

"During the first five seconds, I did not believe it. I thought it was a joke," said Alkutbi. "We were just paying and leaving. The next thing you know, this guy walks in with a gun."

The first suspect pulled out his semi-automatic pistol. Together, the men tied up four workers and four customers in the back store room.

Alkutbi said he and other victims waited for 40 minutes in the dark. The 19-year-old said it felt like hours.

"I didn't know if he was going to shoot somebody or not, if we were going to live or not," he said. "Is it really worth doing all that for $8000? It's not worth it, especially on a holiday."

The thieves took 15 Xbox One gaming systems, some cash, and an employee's wallet and cell phone. Alkutbi said an employee with a knife was able to cut everyone loose after the men left.

The Police have made no arrests and are requesting assistance finding the men.

See this was on Christmas day. What i find funny is how someonw on Christmas day, managed to do all this, with not one outsider coming in, and no one noticing, and leaving fast enough, to not even be remotely traced or described well. no car licences plate, nothing.

Well, suck really. I suppose it makes sense when you think about it, maybe most people in that area were home for Christmas or something. But then again, GS was probably open only early or late that day and usually people rush in earlier or late to stores for last minute gifts or to get sales.

bottom line this was low down.

Least nobody was hurt.

Sadly for the robbers xboxOne sucks.

There is nothing I hate more than anything, is a thief. People work hard for their things and the money to get what they want and there are those scum who want the easy way out and take things from others by force.

If I were in this kind of situation I'd probably die by the criminals because I'm not letting anyone take anything from me. Only things ever stolen from me was when I wasn't there but if they tried to forcibly make me give them something, it's not gonna happen.

Nobody says they robbed Microsoft. The robbed a Gamestop. I think there are a few fundamental things about this that you don't understand.

GT6 may have MT but it has sooo much content that you can practically ignore them and not notice...There's a difference between having the option and availability and just plain shoving it in people's face and barking at them constantly reminding them to spend money. There's a difference between having he option and DELIBERATELY holding back content that's supposed to be in a 60$ fucking game just so you can charge people for it in the future...that's robbery in plain sight and you should be ashamed of yourself for even trying to justify it. Again, they did not start it, and I can easily ignore it in Forza 5 as well. Not sure what's forcing you.

And the issues with it is you kept mentioning MT's as if GT6 did not have them and only when i address that do you try to spin an excuse of Forza "reminding you' to get MT's yet you are NOT forced to get MT's in Forza. I mean GT6 is holding back content already on the disc, regardless of whether it's less or not does not matter as you are paying $60 for both games and not getting $60 out of it.

Again Gt5/Forza 4 had more of a complete game on disc than both. Both of them are rushed out.

Why steal Xbones? They're available everywhere.

Objective facts: Forza is severely limited in content.

The developer has been out there after launch to state that it's reevaluating the overall economy in an attempt to head off some of the early criticism, but more than anything else, all of this just feels nasty. It's a full-priced, $60 game that has another limited edition option that went on sale for $80. Remember, it's all optional, and this certainly isn't the only game to ever offer a variety of shortcuts in the form of post-release payments.But the way the game is constantly reminding you of these additional payment schemes just feels dirty, and it cheapens the experience. Previous games in the series gave you cars as rewards for gaining a level. Forza 5 gives you credits that you can double by paying an additional fee. GIANTBOMB

You can unlock things in Forza 5 by playing forza 5 like GT 6, it's just as optional no one is making you say anything. Also yes, you did parade around acting like Forza was the only game with MT's, and did not admit GT6 has MT's until I mentioned they had them as well.

Again, both games have MT options, but what I'm saying is one is designed to encourage and almost force you to buy the MT

Forza isn't worth 60$. It's worth 35 at most. Yes, both games have MT options but that doesn't allow Forza to get away with robbery

Didn't something similar happen a few weeks ago? Where two guys robbed a GS in Chicago? I think it said they asked for X1's and the employees said they didn't have any so they stole 9 PS4's instead. This wouldn't happen if stores had an inventory of the units serial numbers that can be tracked the moment they log it online... it surprises me when I heard of these new gen robberies not catching anybody yet when the PS3 launched and people robbed them they tracked down people when they logged in online, and I remember that making the news because police shot one of those robbers when they mistook his SIXAXIS for a gun, but they had tracked him down by the consoles serial number when he logged in online. And so what is this, like the second big armed robbery of a GameStop taking over a dozen gaming consoles; hey GameStop, why don't you do something to stop this like taking a damn inventory of console serial numbers?!
