Dreams-Visions loves:

-Vehicle CTF. Just love it.
-NightWalker. Yea...it accounted for 80 of my kills in one CTF match.
-all the old weapons. still intact and solid. And the pistol is actually worth using now. It used to blow.
-skateboard thing. extremely convenient, yet has a risk/reward aspect.
-Warzone. gets very intense.


Dreams-Visions hates:

-driving controls for most ground vehicles. steering absolutely sucks balls. was never this bad on UT2004.
-dropping frames? watch the animation for the basic pistol closely, for example. It's like there are frames missing. not smooth at all. doesn't affect all weapons, but definitely affects some. And yes, it is distracting.
-30fps. On a UT game, it often feels too low when doing fast spins trying to get a quick shot on someone. Hard to see/focus.
-voicechat. Where the hell is it? My understanding is that it's not working right now?

Sadikovic hates when people talk in 3rd person :P

Clearly, DV, you have a hard time reading. i wasn't saying it wasn't broken. i was countering the TC who made it sound like VC wasn't included in the game. Like there was never the intention to have players chat on the PS3 version. All I said is that its "broken" and can and will be fixed.

Wrong there is voicechat support. You press the up direction pad to talk and left to open the voicechat options.

The visuals are good but not great at all. I guess you got to sacrifice some things to get the game running at a smooth as butter framerate. Thats at least a good thing. sirk1264

Yes.

I'm SURE it's pushing the UE3 engine harder than Gears given it's scope and the size of environments...but there is still a noticable drop in the details of the character models. Gears blows them away in terms of detail...though UT3 clearly blows Gears away in terms of volume of characters on screen.

It's a trade-off...but you have to make a "the engine is working harder" argument in order to say UT3 looks better, because with a simple spot-check (comparing character models or texture details)...Gears clearly looks cleaner and more detailed.

dun wry i felt liek that at 1st too, but after a little time playing wiht my KB/M and after i installed the game at thesettings menu and tweaked mouse speed

the game ran very fast and it was SOOOOOO much fun its like palying it on PC, but its on my 52' Bravia XBR wiht surround... much better haha, also im pretty sure voice chat will come...

How do you set up your keyboard and mouse while you sit in front of the TV? I had a problem with that back in the Dreamcast days trying to play Quake 3 with the keyboard and mouse. I ended up having to sit at a dinner tableI dragged near the TV.

go to the settings and there is a button layout option

You've never played Unreal have you? The game was designed around online play. MODS are a huge part of the Unreal experience. You've never played it and you know nothing about it. Epic in the past has always released free map packs I expect no less from them this time. I do understand lems though, if you don't have to pay for it; it must not be any good right?

Wrong. I have played Unreal. Try a new tactic. I would rather have a good SP than access to mods. I am sure you will make some great levels but I will pass. Call me when they start pouring in. :lol:

Yeah okay I'm in total denial because I have a differing opinion than you. So apparantly titles like Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, and Warhawk are examples of a lousy year for the PlayStation 3. Totally man, I understand. As for sloppy ports, it's devs fault.

sooo your gonna say that those three games stand up to the likes of bioshock, halo 3 and mass effect? come on. and just because its devs fault that ps3's port suck, we should give the ps3 a pass. maybe theres a reason why the ps3 ports suck.

maybe the ps3 had too lofty expectations. i bought it for heavenly sword, uncharted, mgs4 and gt5 and the first two have been dissapointments in many peoples eyes. im not saying its a bad system, i like the fact that its reliable, i like alot of things about the ps3 i just wish it had some more killer titles along the caliber of a halo or mario. hopefully, next year.

If you open your manual you can enable voice chat. It's muted by default.
