I think that those are two games that would broaden the horizons of the typical Xbox only gamer and I would hope they would play them and enjoy them but they probably wouldn’t if their past comments on Japanese games are true. Bro shooters, sports games and multiplayer games in general seem to be the main focus over there.
Have no interest in either game personally, but would be fine with them being ported to whatever platform.
But...Nier: Automata was on PC. How is it was a PS4 exclusive to begin with? Also, Persona 5 happens to be on PS3 as well.
To be honest, I doubt Xbox One owners even cares about those games then they might come to Xbox One. They want shooters, not Anime garbage games since they hate those types of games. And it's a shame Xbox gamers don't appreciate Japaneses games like I do :(
I'm never bothered by a game that exists on my preferred platform (PC) making it to any other platform, rather it's the reverse. I dislike being forced to buy an undesirable platform just for a handful of games.
Would much rather see consoles replaced with pre-built budget gaming PCs that all use the same spec, that could maybe be revised every few years, and still hit that $400-$500 price tag for those who don't wish to spend more.
I'd be concerned didn't sony help fund nier or something if xbox gets nier illl be angry
No. They didn't even advertise it. The Dev just said it was not worth making a Bone version since no one in Japan owns a Bone.
It was also suppose to be a PC exclusive but Square Enix made them develop the game with for PS4 as well and with the PS4 as the focus.

I get the PC exclusive thing, but did you had a seasure at the end?
None of those games were PS4 exclusive. They've just been exclusively not on Xbox, there's a difference.
No single f***s given. Those games are amazing and hopefully it will stop lems damage controlling and calling them weaboo games (who am I kidding lol).
Lems deserve to see what good games are like instead of mediocre trash like Sea of Turds.
A) They're not exclusives. B) Hope they enjoy them. Can't wait to see who the hypocrites are who talked shit about these games only to stream them later because they're on their box now. LOL!
As someone who games primarily on Xbox One I would say I am not going to buy them if they came to Xbox One, but only because I already bought them on PS4.
It would be interesting to see what kind of reaction something like that would get. Hopefully it wouldn’t sink to the depths as it did last gen when games like Devil May Cry 4 was announced as being multi platform. Some people on the internet absolutely lost their shit over that.

The only PC game going multi-plat that would piss me off is Star Citizen. That's not down to a PC game going to console but down to he way the game is being funded exclusively by PC gamers. It would be a completely different matter if Sony, Microsoft or both paid C.I.G. to port the game though and only after they release the Star Citizen 1.0 patch.
Outside of that though I couldn't care less if a PC exclusive goes multi-platform or not.
Both are multiplat. Anyways, I dont see how cows can be salty about late ports to the Xbox. The gulf of games between the two consoles is enormous at this point. Who knows, maybe some lems will relax their narrative against story driven single player games. Lord knows they should pull that stick from their bums.
Both Nier and Persona 5 are playable on PC.
They were never exclusives.
Emulation has never counted, and discussion is heavily restricted on this board. Plus, the Nier port was shit.
Nier port works fine.... don't see the big deal (with the 3rd party fixes).
The other point? Couldn't care less really, I did not advertise it, I just stated a fact.
Either way, Persona 5 is also on PS3 ... so not exclusive the PS4.
"Sony Family Exclusive" is not a thing because Cows don't want Microsoft Family exclusives either.
Cows also lost Nioh.

Aside from what I said earlier, the Persona series really does need to break beyond just PlayStation though, and sure as an Xbox fan I could appreciate that but there's other strong considerations I'd imagine would make more sense to pursue first like PC and Switch. Sure 3DS got Persona Q and another sequel is coming, but they need to release self contained stuff, not something that's for players of Persona 3/4 on other systems. Sure, they make other SMT games and spin-offs for other systems too but Persona really is a series that has gained much support from consumers probably best explained because that was what the developers were going for in its design. This is something Atlus has struggled with its SMT games and subseries for years now and they finally have something that can grow big but they haven't really given it the exposure it needs to grow more. At very least, put it on PC because while other systems require advance royalties on physically published console games, they can skirt such costs and give PC players a chance to buy it. Switch port makes more sense too since Japanese devs design their games primarily for their domestic audience, and Switch has big appeal there too.
I feel Atlus hasn't given themselves the chance to realize this. Persona 3/4 released right when the PS3 was breaking out but did so on the PS2, came out later outside Japan due to localization delays. They never tried to pursue other avenues except handheld games for PSP and Vita. At very least if they'd of made a PS3 edition of each I think they could have come to the conclusion that they had something good to offer gamers. And I felt they wasted time working on Catherine, great game though not saying it wasn't, but I remember that game was in development while Square Enix wasted time making the White Engine / Crystal Tools for the FFXIII development and given its lackluster reception of the XIII series, I thought it would have been a good time for them to stand out more, but they didn't try to pursue any such direction. Instead, all those generic looking Tales of Such-n-Such got all the JRPG love from gamers.

User made patches?
Resolution issue, playback issues and stuttering?
Can't fix the fact that its a lackluster direct port... still the best version.

Best version... Literally doesn't display correctly. I've been a PC gamer for years, but thankfully not a complete moron.

Instead of being passive-aggressive about it lundy, how about actually elaborating on your perception of the situation instead of saying "no u"?
Which issue are you even referring to with "Doesn't display correctly"?

What was "no u" about my post? I literally said the game cannot display correctly on PC. 1080p does not display correctly on the PC version. I'm not sure how I could have been clearer.
You actually had to dictate that 3rd-party fixes make this a competent port.

No, I stated with the Fixes the version of the game is potentially still the best. I couldn't care less about the "released port" base form. Just as I don't care about how Vanilla Skyrim performs pre-mods.
Or how Dark Souls performed without the fix.
If there is one, then nothing else matters.

You refuted nothing in my post.
@davillain-: I think that's a very generalised statement, saying that Xbox owners don't appreciate Japanese games.
They obviously wouldn't sell as well on Xbox compared to PS, but there would definitely be a solid market on Xbox.
Lems saying cows lost a third party game that never was exclusive in the first place is laughable, I mean... It's not like Sony payed for the exclusivity in the first place, Sony is not M$ that pays for timed exclusiveness only to have the game outsold when it launches on the competition hardware one year later(rise of the tomb raider).
The devs know that PS4 is profitable...
