As of this point, which game is likeliest to be Game of the Year?

2011 has been a hell of a year for gaming, and it is wonderful to see so many great games having been released in the past twelve months. However, as the year draws to a close, which game do you think is likeliest to be Game of the Year?

EDIT: Added Dark Souls to the list. Duh. Now I feel stupid.

EDIT 2: Added RAGE to the list. In my defense, this game came and went under the radar so I can't be blamed for forgetting all about it.

Well certainly not Skyward Sword and Skyrim because if Game of the Year was decided right NOW, you couldn't choose them as they haven't come out yet.

It's kind of a hard decision for me right now. To me, Deus Ex, LBP2, Portal 2, and Uncharted 3 are all riding on the same line of quality. I'm hoping Revelations Skyrim or Skyward Sword will break that line so I will have easier time choosing my GOTY.

As of now Skyward Sword, Skyrim, Gears 3, and Dark Souls are the only games that have a chance. I'm leaning towards SS but I could see any of these games winning it.

The games in Q3 and Q4 have a bigger chance since the hype for their games don't as quickly and since the awards are near the end of the year the have that advantage.

Seeing as I consider UC2>Demon's Souls, I present the following argument: GS can't dare give GOTY to UC3 when 1) UC2 did not get GOTY which scored higher and I still consider to be a better game and 2) they gave 2009 GOTY to Demon's Souls, whose sequel, Dark Souls, is easily a better game and scored higher.

Because I think GS is going to pull a quick one on all of us and go with a game that isn't a sequel, the only natural option for them is LA Noire. It doesn't rely on conventions, does things drastically different than other games, and is a AAA score. The only other games that have a chance at this point are Dark Souls (very unlikely though, since it's still a sequel to an already GOTY), LoZ:SS, Skyrim, and Portal 2.

Yeah im pretty sure it will do pretty decent especially on the PC, dont see it flying that many copies on conosles tho but at the end of the day hope everyone enjoys it, i saw the 1 hour gameplay for the game and i got to say i liked what i saw but i cant afford a day 1, should pick it up once it hit $20
