all i have to say is i told you so and that i'm not surprised, the secret of the rings has just about saved 3D sonic you guys better thank wii for that at least!
I give props to the developers for Sonic Wii but come on man. It's still a mediocre/solid game. There are tons of games on 360 and PS3 that have scored higher than the Wii counterparts, except they are actually AA or higher games, so why use a 7.6 game as system wars bait?

Sonic Wii is a really fun game......and i never thought i would say that about another sonic game in my life. I recently rented it and, being that i was expecting VERY little from the game, i have been pleasently suprised. It combines the bonus stage gameplay of Sonic 2, which was awesome, with the great gameplay of the original Sonic Adventure and im having a great time playing the game. Its got an old school gameplay type of feel yet it all feels so brand new......very strange but very fun for me.

Because SW is filled with hypocrisy. Last gen sales only mattered to cows, but now they matter to sheep when Wii is selling better than PS3 and Xbox 360. And Lemmings cared about sales when Xbox 360 sold great during the holiday season. Cows dont seem to care about sales that much so far this gen.
Same goes for graphics, sheep bragged about RE4, now they dont care about graphics. Cows didnt care about graphics last gen, now they're drooling over FF-XIII screens.
People that own the WIi will buy whatever comes out at the moment no matter how good/bad the game is.apolloluke
They are in a drought. So it makes sense what you are saying, but also, they could just buy old launch games that they couldnt get. TBH, its sad to be a Wii owner right now. At least until SSBM comes out.

That's just how fanboys are. Didn't you notice that Cows have stopped talking about sales when every fourth sentence coming out of there ass (that's where fanboys usually talk out of) used to be"101 million sold"? That said, good sales of Secret Rings is a great thing, because of this Sega will make more games like Secret Rings and less games like Sonic the Hedgehog (360/PS3). Sega needs to learn that putting actual effort in a Sonic game will payoff not just with critics but with consumers.
I think Sega should stick to developing Sonic solely on Wii.
1. Because they've already proved they can do a good Sonic on the console (as opposed to the disasters on PS3/360). 2. It will more than likely sell more on the Wii.
Sonic Heroes sold better on the GCN as well than it did on the PS2 or XBOX, no surprises here. Though hopefully this will show a progressive and brighter-by-each-step future for the Hedgehog, it's certainly better than the downward spiral he just got caught in.
Or it could be because there really isn't anything great on the wii right now, so a lot of people are settling for a mediocre title so that they have something new to play. That might have a little something to do with it...
