Since the cat is out of the ol' bag, I'll just go ahead and say that Gamespot mixed their platforms up. Dunno about contrast (PS3 games always seem more washed out to me), but from everything I know, the 360 runs better.

Also, I'm really not surprised about the wide range of reviews. I've always been convinced it would be a love it or hate it game.

So far, the loves are winning, so I'm happy!

Not to get in to any specifics, but there was a hell of a lot more effort put in to the PS3 version.

I am personally convinced (ie my opinion and not that of ubisoft) that "enough resources" approaches impossibility.

Our game drove our engine programmers batty, as the AI is most of the workload, and linear it is not. These new systems love programs that are just straight forward number crunching with as little branching as possible. That is the complete opposite of what is needed to make a game like ours.

Well, considering the ps3 guys have been working on it since the moment ps3 dev kits were available, you can't really chalk it up to 'lack of experience', as they had as much as anyone else at the time. Sony was also impressed at one point by how well we got it running early in development.

I don't know if it's a capable system or not. What I'm saying is that, in my opinion, to get the most out of it probably takes an unrealistic amount of resources and time.

I just picked up a copy of Assassins Creed & Zelda: PH today.... can't wait to play them both.... but I'm still having a ton of fun with Super Mario Galaxy, and I need my HALO3 fix once in a while too.... OMG... what am I gonna do when MASS EFFECT hits store shelves.... AHHhhhhhh!

Still need to get COD4 too.... so many games so little time.

He doesn't even list he works for UBI in his profile, it just says, "writes code". You need confirmation that this guy is an UBI dev that worked on both console versions of assassins creed to give this any credability. Other than that, its just some guy from a random message board claiming something.

I really don't get this issue. Cows claim ownage cause it was said the PS3 versionwas better from a couple of sites. Lemmings refute the cows claims claiming ownage that the 360 version is better because a couple of sites said so. The GS review is what is supposed to matter here, and is the most neutral really, and everyone fights over that too. If you spent all the time on the game you spent hating on one version or the other, you would probably have finished it already. Sad thing is, some of you that are arguing don't even own the game.

I saw them both in front of my eyes and they are the same thing. My lemming friend kept bothering me to do a comparison, so I brought my copy to his house, and did the comparison(he owns a PS3 just so he can hate on it lol). he even admitted it was basically the same thing. we just had to adjust some of the settings on his TV.

Are you serious dude? I'll buy my $400 paperweight when there is a reason to buy it. One decent shooter (resistance) will not do with it. The other systems do not have their slogan as "coming soon" or "give us time." Wii was questioned and hey they have been making great games. Microsoft there is no question about their game library, nevermind their unique and perfect online system. Sony should be paying you for their horribly online system.

So your saying just because the PS3 can brag about all these expensive components and the dual processors and what not, we should figure its a better deal even tho there is nothing to do with it? Why buy a gaming console with no games? On many reports, games work better on the xbox.

Btw sony fanboy, dont call the wii a $250 gamecube till you see comparison photographs/videos and really the wii is better and the control scheme can make a game more fun and intuitive.

I think most logical folks on this forum have been pointing this out for several months now ever since Heavenly Sword was made known to be 5-6 hours long. The PS3 Man Hour cost for development is just way, way too high.

I can't wait for the day when there is only one console to buy on the marketing so everyone can shut up.

Plus let's not go far, just go to gamerankings.com, you will see that the PS3 version of AC still has a higher score. Bottomline is that the PS3 is a very capable system. anybody who owns Uncharted knows that the PS3 is very capable. awesome graphics with 60fps isn't something that beyond the reach of the PS3. I call this guy a fake period.

I like how when a dev praises the PS3,360 owners always say"he was paid to say that " or " that's BS " but when some random guy on a forum claims to be a dev says how difficult and blah blah blah ,360 owners accept his statement as fact.

But than is NOW! Now there are not that many PS3s in homes and there is poor attach rate. Hopefully with the price drop, the holdidays, and great games like COD4 and Uncharted that will change. A year or two from now when devs have a real grasp of the PS3 and it is costing $200 to buy one you can bet that the economics will work out for the devs.

Actually the PS3 version looks better. Read the review at Computerandvideogames.com are better yet play them both for yourselves intead of watching some video where they made the PS3 version look absolutely terrible.( no sorry lems it looks nothing like that. )
