But Fassbender is a phenomenal actor and he is co-producing it too. He knows how a movie should be and Ubisoft know how a game should be. Plus their other stuff lately in live action like their Future soldier stuff is actually pretty good. I will wait and see

He was David. The best performance in the entire thing. Also Magneto and he was in Inglorious basterds, which he was also stellar in. He's Irish/German :D

Indeed. Patriotism aside, he is a fantastic actor and its great to see a movie based on a game get interest from proper talent (not Uwe Boll, D-list actors).

Can't really say much about this news until I know more about the setting of the movie. I just think that it would look a litte awkward of seeing Fassbender in Crusade era Holy Land playing a Hashishin.

Awesome actor and Assassins Creed will be an Awesome movie too.

Prince of Persia was a GOOD movie and also a bit Under-rated it seems.
Ubisoft Movie studio is working hard and surely are delivering.
But I thought Splinter Cell would be their priority...

Prince of Persia isn't a bad movie, it had some solid performances and was a fun flick if you didn't get hung up on differences between it and the game.

The less similarities a movie has to a game makes it better.

I don't want to feel like I'm watching a cinimatic from the game.

Eh, IDK if AC would make a good movie. With the right director, I suppose so, although, I think it would be hard. AC2 does have a pretty good story, so maybe it would do fine with some editing and a better ending.

Ezio doesn't look like much of an assassin without the assassin clothes either. he looks like a spoiled pompous guy who wouldn't be able to defend himself.Before X-men you could have said the same thing "Doesn't look like much of a magneto" and he nailed it.
