Thoughts, SW? Are you excited for this game? Graphics look really good, will look good on my PS5 Pro!

Looks way too easy, as expected. Slow ass attacks coming at you giving you like 2 whole seconds to press the counter button. Then you can just spam attacks. Automated finishing moves. Zzz

Should be good for casuals or people with disabilites.

Looks like fun. I enjoyed Ghost of Tsushima and I hope this AC game manages to give it a run for its money, as it seems to be in the same vein.

One slight issue: I enjoyed AC Mirage for the most part, but the animations were too long. Yes, they look cool, but an assassin should be quick to strike. I don't want to string a bunch of moves together or manage to sneakily attack someone and my reward be losing control of my character for 3-5 seconds every time just to "look cool".

If you spend 5-10 minutes on an encounter and kill 20 enemies, that means you spent 1 or 2 minutes just watching kill animations. Not good.

Anyway, despite current affairs at corporate Ubisoft, I have still managed to enjoy most of the their games of the last 2+ years and I look forward to AC Shadows quite a lot.

This is probably less than 5% of all gameplay, the rest of the game is likely running around an overly large map grabbing collectibles hidden about and it'll take 200+ hours to complete.

@mrbojangles25: as soon as I got into combat in AC Mirage I reloaded the checkpoint lol, it's not really a game where the combat was all that good or even servicable.

I'll be skipping this as I find Ghost of Tsushima's combat system to be slightly superior and what I've seen from AC Shadows looks like a downgrade combat to a degree, I was hoping Ubisoft at least innovate and be different from Ghost of Tsushima. And besides, Ubisoft is so late taking AC to Japan, Ghost of Tsushima did it so well, I'm far more interested in Ghost of Yotei anyway.

For those who are looking forward to playing Shadows, hope you enjoy it. I do wanna say if this game flops, chances this could be the end of Ubisoft.

Even being 35 odd years old, rather take the slower heavier high damage combat of Tenchu over this screensaver where it looks pretty just slapping 1-2 buttons counter/strike for an expected 100-200 hours with upgrades that just make you even more OP.

That game jank and all, is actually gripping.
Ubisoft seem absolutely incapable of doing on practically every level, the only good thing about Ass Creed really is the production values, the music and beautiful settings.

Feel bad for the art team, they do all the good shit and it's for slop.

@davillain: yes, people have been complaining about the woke stuff, but lately more than anything, Ubisoft looks like they lack gameplay innovation.

Combat and traversal looks like copy paste from other games.

It is weird how folks ignore how much Ubisoft has influenced open world games. 🤷🏽‍♀️

@uninspiredcup: True, but it would be weird if folks hate on Hilter while praising Neo Nazis.🙃

I haven't played Assassins Creed in a while, but isn't the whole point to avoid combat?

I mean combat has always been super easy in these games, but I'm pretty sure entering combat was a sign that you'd failed to be stealthy in the early games.

That ship more or less sailed ages ago.

Never heard of that show before... Might need to check it out some time.

For real though, this is the GOAT Hitler:
