My point is the money youd use on buying the pLay and Charge kit for 360 offsets the money spent on buying cables.

Well, I don't have a PS3 BUT :

No, the $500 PS3 would be $550, the $600 PS3 would be $650,(why upgrade the 60gig, anways?) but that would be if you want WiFi.

The $480 Elite with Wifi is $580, same price diff. (WiFi is $100 for 360, not counting Xbox Live Fees, since obviously you are now for sure going onlinne.)

HDMI is all digital, you either get a signal or you don't; the price makes little difference.
