Seriously, the platform is not going to die if it has Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, and Metal Gear Solid to support it.

Not to mention a few other unmentionables, but those are the three games I'm wetting myself over in anticipation, so, you do the math.

The 360 is doing well, no dispute, and the Wii is the undeniable king of this generation thus far, PS3 fails are extremely lackluster, but as long as there's a sun on the horizon (a bright one at that), I'm willing to completely ignore your point of view, TC.

I think that MGS4 is going to push sales for the PS3 very, very far... possibly even on par with Halo 3's potential sales. And the PS3 won't die, because it is still has the best console support. Sony, believe it or not, supports and treats it console's extremely well, even when its successor is out. Look at PS1; look at PS2; Sony kept supplying those consoles with games even when their rivals had claimed their consoles to be dead (See: Gamecube, Xbox, Dreamcast, N64). Even if the PS3 is declared a bust, I'm sure Sony will still keep peppering it with games.princeofshapeir

That's the thing, though; the PS3 has quite a large number of games on the console that are confirmed exclusives, even when you exclude Assassin's Creed and DMC4.

Alot of people are waiting for a price drop on the PS3. If the PS3 was being sold for $349.99-$399.99 I guarentee it would be selling alot more. If Sony was smart (which as of late I kind of doubt it) they would release the 40GB for $399.99, because thats the price point alot of people are looking for.

Until then, Halo 3 and Mass Effect will do fine for me.

Sony saying the PS3 would last 10 years was the scariest thing I ever heard from a gaming company. That would be like the PS1 being the high-tech gaming system of 2009.
