I think it's unfortunate that Atari's nothing more than a brand name now. (the Atari of today is actually a former French publisher once known as Infogrames)

It's also a bit sad the Jaguar flopped so badly and that Jag 2 wasn't released as I always found it kinda cool, despite poor support and a terrible gamepad.

If Nintendo can have the support to back up the WiiU then it will be played more than once a month. I know many people who bought Wii's and kept them under the telly unused.

Actually he didn't cause the crash because the crash was around during the early 80's and he left in 1978 I think. It was Warner Communications that took over Atari at that time.

Then I retract my statement and change it into "Says the guy who isn't relevant anymore."

Nolan Bushnell had nothing to do with the crash of 1983. He left Atari in 1978, and was not involved in the video game industry for several years after that. He had nothing to do with Atari after 1978.

Time Warner and the executives that were put in charge of Atari were the ones that helped cause the crash, alongside various companies that were producing garbage games for all the systems of that era.

He joined Atari again in 2010 to be on the board of directors but it was still long after the video game industry crashed.

Now he is at Anti-Aging Games LLC.

Yeah he was forced out of Atari in 1978

Plus, if I remember correctly he signed a contract that prevented him from working in the video game industry for several years. Which helps explain why all of his ventures during that time were not video game related. I don't think he really got involved in video games again until 1991 when he started promoting the Commodore CDTV. Although even then, that was not a pure video game system. It was a multimedia device that happened to play games.

He really has not been involved in video games since he left Atari. He occasionally does things that are video game related, but most of his ventures and companies have been involved in various industries.

Yeah Bushnell was forced out way before the crash. He was busy with Chuck E Cheese then.

Warner did what it does best..bumblefucs their way into everything and ruins it.

Nintendo is a baffling company in general. They are crazy but in a good way.

I think that the Wii U will do OK although I don't expect it to be another Wii or a DS.
