Did the anime get worse as it progressed? I remember you had a sig of it.
If so, then that sucks, because its probably one of the only animes I've seen in a while that actually looks kind of interesting.

Yes it gets alot worse. I have read the source material and was anticipating it, but between the overuse of stills, horrendous pacing, horribly animated fight scenes in later episodes (lol they literally shift to blank static backgrounds when characters are about to kill something), the level of censorship and the INSANE amount of flashbacks and recapping, it is truly a trainwreck.Â
They went the lazy route and did a panel by panel adaptation (with one very minor change), so the show isn't adaptated properly for TV. Everything gets drawn out like crazy, and there's a ton of repetition.Â

This happens a lot in animes with 24 episodes due to the lack of budget

I know there a times japan tv with anime doesint go as violent as the source manga, but is it really that high level of censorship?

I'm surprised people actually look at the technical crap in an anime.
I just say enjoy it. I have to admit it's not the best when it comes to pacing and such some times, but seriously they are all great fun to watch. I actually prefer it over manga a good amount of the time.
I guess I'm easy to please. :P
Just read the books then like I do. Anime is does crap like that a lot and is why I rarely if ever watch it.

Its just sometimes its more fun to see things in motion. I read managa mainly when I want to get to the point since they tend to move at a much faster pace.
Monthly manga releases are painful, but they are a good read. The anime adaptation is faithful to the manga and I like that, though it's slow in some instances.

Pretty much echoes my sentiments. Anime is slower since they put more crap into it to span manga episode, so I can understand the differences. I still think its funny though that people actually actively talk about that stuff so harshly since normally animes can make up for it when shit hits the fan on certain scenes. I just like to see the motion and the actions that can't be done on pages I guess.

Raziel831991
I rarely watch series that long so I don't know how it is these days, I know back in the day they'd just reuse scenes and studios used the majority of their budget for major fight scenes. I mostly watch movies and very short series anyway, recent trends having been pushing the older fanbase further and further away. I just look at what sunrise, IG, madhouse, Anno and lately trigger are up to and that's about it, these studios are still trying to make something for everyone, even if it's just once in a while.
Everyone else seems focused on the teen/otaku market which isn't my thing.

Yes.. which is also odd since I believe AoT shows late at night which means they could get away with alot more.

How is it complete shit?Unless if the anime is completely glossing over plotpoints and butchering character dialog I doubt its that much worse than the manga. Not to mention that the soundtrack is F%CKING AMAZING

How isn't it? They aren't even showing anything at all, just cut aways, distortions and blackened areas.
Which gets the point across just as effectively. You really want to see all that gore? And you're really judging the quality of the anime by the amount of gore it shows? How macho

Started watching the Anime about 2 days ago. On like episode 10 or 11 and it's pretty cool. It's not amazing or anything but I like the concept behind it.Â
It suffers from the same thing all Animes suffer from though, 20 minute episodes where 15 minutes are spent talking about the same thing over and over and over with increasing rage

Dunno about that, man. I really like how it was totally, and I mean totally, hopeless and then that little hope happens and they can turn things around. And it's related to the secret behind titans. ÂAnd also.... just in case I'm not spoiling the latest episodes for anyone...
The court session and the Recon corps part was slow pace compared to what happened before but I felt it was kinda neccessary and understandable imo.
I think it's weird to stop watching the show because of that. And no gore. It can't stay fast pace forever.Â

Longer series tend to suffer from that.
