Attention PC gamers, I never thought that I'd say this but.....I want a WRPG

I would still try Civ. 4 at least....I dont really like Strategy games that much either....(though Im alright with some RTS's) and I have to admit civ. 4 was easily the most addictive game I had ever played.

Yeah, and the man behind Civilization IV is now working on SPORE. GOTY confirmed.

Will Wright alone was more then enough to make it GOTY.... 

I just downloaded "Deus Ex" I'm going to try it out now.

Hellgate london is similar to Diablo.

Their is a free multiplayer mode.

Their was also a rumor going around about an additional subscription based multiplayer, though this was never confirmed.

Yeah, so Will Wright and Soren Johnson combined equals a level of godliness never before seen.

Just imagine, Will called Spore a 3E game. Emerge, Evolve, Explore. And now with the CivIV director on board, they can add that 4th E, Exterminate.

Everyone has their favorite genres, and for me that genre was always the JRPG. A genre that most Westerners misunderstand as of being hyper-active with cutscenes *even though most JRPG's don't have that many cutscenes if any at all, you can thank Square-Enix for that* or that they have "shallow" depth :roll: *even though they contain the most complex battle systems around. However there's always been a genre that intrested me. That's right the WRPG. It seems totally opposite from the games I like to play. My first taste was the battle system in FFXII, it resembled KOTOR as some say. I presonally hated the combat system as it totally took all the skill away from the game. Anyway I decided to ignore that, soI decided to give it a try with a game known as "Oblivion". Now this game was fun......for about 2 days then I got bored to death. However, even though it is credited to being "the greatest RPG of all-time" by reviewers, many fans say that it was extremely inferior to Morrowwind. So I'm deciding to give this genre another go. My question to all of you *PC Gamers only* is what is the best WRPG out there. One to say if I tried this I've tried the best. One to get me an understanding of the genre.

 

P.S. I'm also planning on purchasing Deus Ex for $10 on STEAM, should I do it?

I also recommend Jade Empire for PC. Superior version.

I fixed this prob by uninstalling the game, changing my power savings options to home/office desktop and then reinstalling the game. just make sure that the home desktop option is set in power management before playign the game then. I hope this helps.

for uninstalling the game i think theres an option is steam that lets u remove it. u could also check out the add/remove programs list. to get there go to start->control panel->add or remove programs. from there just scroll down untill u see deus ex and click on the remove button. I got the game on cd years back and thats how i did it...im not sure how steam deals with removing stuff.

for changing power settings right click on an empty part of the desktop->click properties. display properties pops up. click on the screensaver tab on the top and then click on the power button on the bottom. u should no see a power schemes area. if this is something different to home/office desktop then change it to that. then click ok.

after that just reinstal the game and any patches and hopefully the game will run normally.

Fallout 1 & 2.....agreed and then fallout 3 when it releases...."War...War never changes"...Fallout is the best series of all time.
