This is the reason I told lems/sheep not to enter because I don't want to hear excuses for why GS gave such a high score to such an idiotic game.  When at the same time, they could have done the same for Motorstom for doing things that no other racing game has ever done before, and not try to find every negative thing they could find about the game to doc off points that should have been added for what the game acutally DID. 

FACT, if they had scored Gears of War the same way they scored Motorstorm for what it didn't do...it would probably have a worse score than Motorstrom.

causing controversy causes WEB TRAFFIC which benefits GAMESPOT, so it is understandable........ this affects all the system owners not just the cows......something is wrong and some of us have put that behind us and moved on and not take this site seriously with REVIEW SCORES ....they do make some good points in their reviews but the review scores are what’s suspect......so just enjoy the review but ignore the scores and that’s unfortunate because that’s what makes SWs fun is people getting owned for hyping a game and bashing a game......but its not fun when it seems that you already know what the outcome will be...... and this is what is happening now.......like the TS he doesn't want to hype games anymore and there are others like him sheep, cow and lemming....

The exact reason why it didn't score higher, when everyone was hyping it, I'm sure most posters were assuming that the game would include more then one single player mode and that motorstorm would have offline multiplayer.

No conspiracy here, just a logical review, that docked major points for what are major flaws. A racing game needs to have more then one single player mode and it needs offline multiplayer.

From what I read in the review, 7.9 seems to be a just score for this game. I still plan on picking the game up on wednesday though.

That was one of the most paranoid posts I have ever seen.  Congratulations.

GameSpot is a multi-million dollar company.  They provide a service to a very large gaming community. They are not going to over-rate or under-rate any game for the pleasure or displeasure of the crazy fanboys of System Wars.  I actually can't believe you even think that...  maybe you are twelve, and just don't know better.

Just because everyone wants a game to be great doesn't mean that they should lie and say it is great when it isn't.  They need to give their honest opinions about all games regardless of system.  I belive that is what they do.

You may want to contact your local psychologist and tell him that GameSpot is out to get you and your forum friends in the great GameSpot AntiSony conspiracy.  He'll know what to do.
