The main game that comes to mind for me is Red Dead Redemption The single player was great but getting 100% completion was way too easy and after that there isnt anything to do. The multiplayer was fun at first but once you realize that there isnt much to do besides gang hideouts and a bad deathmatch mode, it gets really boring. I know alot of people will disagree with me but I think GTA 4 is a much better game than RDR. I still play GTA 4 (I have 100% completion, man killing those pidgeons was a **** and I got it the day it came out. I sold RDR a while ago. GTA 4>>>>>>RDR

I wouldn't say that RDR got boring fast. But it lost a lot a couple missions into Mexico. Marston's a badass, but everyone treats him like their b*t*h and he takes it over and over and over. He's a Deadeyed Doormat. I still loved it, beat it, and traded it in, though. I figured I would trade it in while the value is high and rebuy it when its cheap or comes to PC.

Just Cause 2. Great game but just couldn't finish it.

Same can be said for most sand box games i guess.

I disagree with this, I've played the single player at least 4 times.

I would say Just Cause 2. The graphics were crazy even on medium on my PC and it was fun at first grappling on to stuff, but that quickly got boring after I grappled the 100th person and drag him/her down the street.

[QUOTE="Lto_thaG"]Here's my contribution. Assassin's Creed.

That's a solid contribution. Assassin's Creed did start awesome, and you get excited by the potential, only to be let down when you realize the tasks prior to the assassinations are all the same thing over and over. Fortunately, AC2 fixed everything I could've asked for and more. I hold it as the example of how to properly make a sequel.

RDR died out fast for me. It was incredible at first, but after the completing the SP the game is just boring to play and the online while fun in short bursts, does not have much staying power. Also, I'd say Mass Effect 2. After completing it once I was pretty much over it whereas the original had me hooked like an MMO.

Red Dead Redemption did get extremely boring after getting to 100%. I really didn't want to do the gang hideouts anymore since I had done them each dozens of times in order to get to level 50. The death match wasn't very fun because auto aim is really lame

If you found the first one interesting at all, you'll love the second one. The game world is larger, you can go in water, jump on people from above and kill them, lots of missions of a variety of types, you can disarm the enemies and use their weapons, you can upgrade your pouches/armor, and the story is wild. I would recommend watching the cutscene videos from the first game prior to playing, though, so you get caught up on the story.

Shadow Complex. It's fine until you beat the game for the first time, but leveling past maybe lvl 25 gets really really tedious. Which is why I'm never getting all the achievements in that game despite loving it.

I really really liked doing one playthrough for that and I don't really intend to play it again. But, I don't really do more than one playthrough for any game, unless its been a number of years since I played. Pretty much, the only exceptions ever have been Grim Fandango, GTA:SA, and Mass Effect.

GTA 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GTA SAN ANDREAS

RED DEAD REDEMPTION

------------these three games were just faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrr too redundant. It's cool if you like them and they aren't even terribly made, but this whole "sandbox" genre needs a breath of fresh air. Seriously.

Not that the games are awesome, but 99% of the games **cough**, I mean apps:roll: in the apple app store are boring after about a minute and a half.

Chromehounds.

The game's customization and combat were ridiculously fun.

For about 10 seconds, and then all of it's tedious technical flaws and balance issues messed it up.

Doesn't just about EVERY game get old after you get 100%??? I guess you mean the multi-player, but I don't buy games like Red Dead for multiplayer anyway. I get them to enjoy the single player, and I did with Red Dead all the way to 100%.

Funny you mention some of the best games from sony and MS, but you didnt mention Metroid other M, which is not even in the same league as those games. I remember you from the other m threads, I am starting to think you are just a wii defender.

I'd say that RDR, GTAIV and AC2 got old pretty fast. They were great games and initially I really enjoyed playing them, but I didn't finish them and when I go back to them, there isn't much to keep me playing. I didn't seem to have this problem AT ALL last gen, for some reason.

What I need is a bloody Hitman game already! I've played Blood Money so many times - that never seems to get old.

God of War 3 (it just petered out after Hades), and FO3, it became a chore to finish since I was doing side quests- which was mainly the same subway over and over). If I ever geta Bethesda game again, I'm skipping the cut and paste sidequests.

Never played ballad, but I got my hands on..whats the other one? Bikers, ect.. Well that one was a nice change of pace for a while. Too bad online gta for ps3 is like totally dead. I got to play maybe a few games before it became more trouble than it was worth looking for a game lol.

Ratchet and Clank got boring after about 2 hrs of playing. Flow got boring after an hour of playing. Echochrome just got frustrating. I just got tired of thinking and had to turn it off. Started playing God of War Collection instead.

Probably the first assasins creed , the game looked amazing and played well but then the mission structure made it a bit repetative. I still beat the game and enjoyed it but it did get a bit repetative.
