FF XIII: Word is the game is a mess right now and the localization process is expected to take a year. Expects game will not come out in Japan until the end of 08.

I didnt plan on getting a PS3 until this game came out, didn't think I would have to wait that long.

But, that is just speculation and it could be released sooner.

Take into consideration that The Last Remnant is having a simultanious world wide release.

On the IGN site they only have Final Fantasyversus XIII release date set in 2009. But Final Fantasy XIII is still slated for 2008. http://ps3.ign.com/index/release.htmlcj2121

Those dates change all the time, for all they actually know, versus will come out first.

Even thought, that's just a rumor, it's not that much of a stretch to believe, Final Fantasy games always take awhile to localize them for the states and other places, and this game was already expected for Q4 next year wasn't it?

Last I checked no one said anything about the Blue Dragon/ Lost Odyssey v.s. Final Fantasy debate, was there a reason you decided to bring that up?

true i suppose but after the disappointment that was ff12 i will approach ff13 with caution.

All I am going to say is that Square Enix and its subsidiarieshave taken on far too many projects and they should be focusing on a few instead of like 10 games at once. I mean seriously look at what is in the wood work right now

Dragon Quest 9: Guards of the Starry Night (DS, still being made)

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker (DS, being translated for North America and European releases)

Dragon Quest Swords (Wii, in production still)

Last Remnant (PS3 & 360, cross platform so optimization is one big factor, plus the game itself will probably be pretty long)

Final Fantasy 1 & 2 (PSP, probably out in Japan, being translated for NA and Europe)

Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions (PSP, in the works still)

Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced 2 (DS, still being made, dont expect here until next year)

FF13 and Versus 13 are still both being made as well and then have to be translated for NA and Europe after.

White Knight Story (PS3, being made by Level 5 mind you but they are owned by SE I think)

What the hell? 2009/10? I thought I was buying a PS3 in 2006 to get games like this by the end of 2007. :(
