I've posted it once and I'll post it again....

So many things wrong with this thread...
a) Legend of Zelda is a mature title. It's not aimed at kids. It may be slightly accessible to kids when it gets easier, but Arkham Asylum isn't that hard either and last I checked kiddies LOVE Batman.... AA is no more of a game for adults than Legend of Zelda, except MAYBE Wind Waker or the DS games, but that doesn't make them any worse.
b) The basic mechanics are so different no slight similarities can make the games even remotely similar. Last I checked LoZ has extremely limited stealth, and when you use it is's usually sneaking around a place, not combat. I also don't find many puzzles in B:AA, the biggest focus of LoZ>
c) Boss fights are nowhere even similar (i.e. in LoZ they're actually exceptional while in Arkham Asylum they are "MEH!" Ignoring quality, they aren't even similar in function.
d) Atmosphere and setting are so completely different it's not even plausible to compare them.
e) .... God am I still explaining this? The dichotomy between the two couldn't be bigger, they have so little in common and anything that they do have in common is either an extremely common gameplay mechanic that could make any game seem like Zelda, or something that is entirely your perception.
To set things straight, Legend of Zelda is my favorite series ever and OoT and WW are my favorite games. Batman: Arkham Asylum is one of the best games I've played this year, absolutely love it. I don't feel like comparing the quality of each, both very good, but saying they're similar is just stupid and really just obvious grounds for yet another person to say Zelda is kiddy and now there is a mature version.
