Batman AC - the first flawless game to come along since RE4 and Metroid Prime

This game is simply top tier perfection. Not a blemish on it's immaculate exterior. The pacing of the main story is impeccable with not so much as a single dull moment. The characters you meet, places you visit, and situations you the Dark Knight find yourself in are as compelling as humanly possible. The ominous and dreary atmosphere is glorious and Arkham City is one of the most beautiful game environments I have ever had the pleasure of exploring. I never thought current gen video games could be this angelic. I will play the endless tune of praise and sing the whimsical symphony of celebration in this game's wake until the end of time. It's everlasting glory will envelop us all.

It was a glorious game, ahh, what a tight and fun experience. Back in the day when we played this it really had something.

MP is far from flawless, its baby's first FPS, i honestly think its mediocre

Found Deus Ex Human Revolution to be much much better than Batman AC.

It's definitely great. I still haven't been able to make myself finish though.

I bought Asylum and City a few days ago.

Not going to lie, your other thread made me go back to it lol. I've been playing the past couple days. Even the side missions are incredible. The side missions are better than the main missions in most games. NG+ is a very nice addition. Don't care much for those challenges though.Grawse

Not one of those 3 games are flawless. They are all fantastic games but nothing is perfect

You also claimed Sniper elite V2 was like the second coming and would be the best shooter of the year. I think your influence is inconsistent and the people who bought it Vanquish on your words were people who wanted to buy it already but didn't want to spend the money. You just gave them a little nudge.

The only flawless game is Portal 2

I played it through once, almost got all the Riddler trophies, played around with the challenges, then never picked it up again. The pacing and story was far better in Asylum. Despite having "more" City felt less focused and it suffered (I played Asylum twice through, a rare thing for me this gen). If I would call anything "top tier perfection" it would be Dark Souls. Seriously, no other game has combat like it, even Demon's Souls (which may have better dodge-rolls, but it lacks the bigger/wider movesets, and weapon variety). It makes you focus in on a single weapon, and even though you want to try out other stuff, you never feel the same once you find the one that just "clicks". Not to mention it is essentially a Super Metroid fantasy action-RPG, with full-blown, massive sequence breaks and insane boss variety. I've grown almost completely uninterested with every other game (besides perhaps Demon's Souls) and when I am playing other games, I am thinking of Dark Souls. When I am not playing Dark Souls, I am thinking about Dark Souls. It has consumed me, and I think I have found my GOTG. It is already in my top-3 of all time. Batman: Arkham City was great, but it's no Dark Souls. -- Also, I didn't like RE4 and Echoes was better than Prime.Zeviander

I sitll found demon souls a much better experiance then dark souls.

I found Uncharted 2, SMG2, and Portal 2 to be much more flawless than Batman:AC.

Dark Souls shall forever be held back from perfection by it's inconsistent framerate and crappy P2P servers. Demon's Souls totally came closer :P

Which reminds me I still need to purchase the HD edition and play through RE4 another 10 times.

I only played AA. I enjoyed it, but there were quite a few things in the game that I didn't find that special, and it was anything but perfect. If Arkham City retained the same mistakes AA had, then I wouldn't consider it perfect by any means.

I'm definitely interested in getting the game though. Will have to that one of these days.

Whatever Resident Evil game is your favorite, RE4 kicks it straight in the balls. Nothing else comes close. The franchise peaked with RE4 and it's the entry that the franchise will be most remembered for. You pretentious oldschool RE fans just need to accept this. The days of sh*tty camera angles and clunky controls are OVAH!

Some of the conclusions to the side missions were pretty terrible. One ended by telling the player you'll catch the villain in the next game. Awesome. The conclusion to the Riddler mission was lame as ****, especially considering all the time put into it.

Awesome game overall though.

Well I don't like Resident Evil and I don't consider Metroid Prime flawless, so there goes those comparisons. I just finished Arkham City, but I have to say I liked the first game more because it felt more structured and was leading to a big finale. AC is more about finding whatever you can and going with it. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but I don't consider it anything more than a Batman game that does justice for the franchise.

Absolutely fantastic game. The only flawless game is Metal Gear Solid 4 though. It made OOT appear mediocre.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution was my favorite game last year, but Batman: Arkham City was the perfect game. I completely agree with you, it was flawless, I never had a glitch and was always engaged and entertained. No small feat for an open world current gen game.

Batman is a great game, one of the best of 2011. But people overrated it far too much. It's not the best game this gen and it wasn't the best game last year. Like I said I still loved it but people overrated it far too much.

IMO no game is flawless. Even my favorite games like RE4 have their issues.
